are we not already at a level where the best local sunday league players are more than capable?? just look at Terry Davies for example. Jason Marney has been a sunday league player but being a local lad played with huge commitment on saturday. look how much that flukey goal meant to him. i'd say that is the type of player we need more of. had marney been partnered with a striker and not whatever #10 is (certainly not a striker) we could have maybe created more.

Have played against both Marney and Davies and can assure you that the top 11 sunday league players in our area would easily finish top 5 in this league. Would also put money that the likes of Slough Irish would easily have beaten ten men Paulton on saturday.

Well, in my complete stupidity i've decided to go and get behind the team on Saturday. There is two covered ends behind the goal, so lets make some noise and try and help get us out of the relegation zone. I can understand why people can't be bothered, but the there's not many games left and I think as many of us need to get behind the players - or Dog and Duck League here we come!

Oh and can anyone pick us up from the train station about 10ish, so i don't have to run to Wexham Park to get the coach!?

So if these 'top 11 Sunday league players' are that good and they are not playing a decent standard of football on a Saturday and getting paid for it, it begs the question why not?

 

Shouldn't they have put themselves forward or have been tapped up by now?

Yes they should. But im sure its down to a combination of no real scouting of those leagues and many of them not wanting to put in the commitment, i think many are happier playing a good level of football on a sunday instead of a 'decent' level on a saturday.

what i still find difficult to get over about saturday was the fact that we couldnt even pass the ball accurately and our shooting ability was below sunday league for sure.

yes i read that, things are looking brighter today.and davies and daly back hopefully, i would like to see tom attrell given a chance, he always seems to worry defences and we havent done that for a while.
