we dont want to bring up an attendance thread, although i realise im doing just that! BUT 3000+ simple. Away end full and all three other sides full yet only 2500!! ok, whatever?!!

There were no more than 2500 at the ground. I think the attendance announced was most probably correct.

My prediction was almost correct as I said 2,500 before the game. Well either way at least it broke the 2'000 barrier which was the most important thing. And it is an attendance that the Dartford lot will not say a word about as they seem obsessed with our attendances.

The gate was quite a bit less than the Notts County game, I thought 2,500 was about right too.

Once again though though an immaterial debate, it was a good crowd and we played well and got a result in front of them, they are bound to come back......so the same 840 on Tuesday night as last Tuesday then.

One thing to point out would be that 1/3 of the away end contained barely any Aldershot fans, the uncovered area linking the Stonebridge Road side to the Swanscombe end was cordoned off, as was the corresponding area on the other side. In the first half, where I was standing the crowd density was similar to any normal league game. This put together shows to me that the attendance called out was indeed correct.

Yeah I noticed too that the last third of the terrace was not really that well populated Bernard.

At the away end there were about 500 through the adult gate, 500 through the concessions gate and about 110 through the ticket gate so roughly 1100 away support and 1400 of us.

Approx 500 seats filled behind the goal, 300 in the main stand. There were more than 600 on the road terrace.

That 300 in the main stand would include the Aldershot fans and the exclusion zone, methinks.

Official Aldershot count was 850.

I forgot that quite a few Fleet fans came through the back so I see where 850 came from.
