Anyway, great game & result today........I'll take a sh*tty 0-0 or 1-0 defeat next week !! Although a sh*tty 1-0 win would be better !! But let us not run before we can walk.....it's only half time.....it's a game of 4 halves Brian !!

Just watched the video and you are spot on with that assesment.

Interestingly, the foul on Chukki was actually just outside the box, but he fell inside.
The best view of that will be on Sky Sports News (which I haven't got). That was the cameraman up in the Setanta gantry level with the edge of the Penalty Area.
The cameraman below him at ground level was from the F.A.com .
The camera crew filming at ground level from behind the dugouts were from Setanta Sports News, and the camera crew wandering around the ground were from German TV.

They all wanted to come up to the gantry, but the club told me they were not allowed to. This is because the gantry is too tight to the touchline, so when there is more than one cameraman in there, we get in each others' way and parts of the pitch are obscured by other bodies, tripods and cameras. Definitely no good when 29,000 need to see all the action to pick the team !!?

By the way, the crowd figure (2,400-odd ?) looked about right from where I was.
Great atmosphere from behind the gantry though, especially after Mc,Carthy's goal. Loud singing as well !

If Lance can defend his goal next Saturday as well as you defended your gantry today, Cameraman, there'll be no problem with getting to Wembley. All boarders repelled - well done!

Unfortunately can't make next Saturday, but like you would settle for the most mundane 0-0, as you say its a game of 4 halves and I have a sneaking feeling that we will triumph over the next 2

Must admit I was getting pretty annoyed up there.
All set up and ready to go, then they all converged on the ladder from nowhere...about 15 minutes before the kick-off !
If I had let them all in at that late stage it would have been mayhem. A mass scramble for the best vantage point and all of us missing the kick-off !?

I have just warned the Aldershot Club Cameraman that he might have about 10 TV camera crews wanting his spot for the Second Leg !

We spent all day trying to find out the Ebbsfleet result and couldn't find it, so to come home and see that you won 3-1 was wonderful.

Today has made me very very happy!

 

Gutted to have missed the first half though as I was put on the the away gate but watching the second half I was so proud at the way the team responded to Aldershot's goal, looking forward to going to Aldershot for the second leg! See you all there!

It still hasn't sunk in yet! We beat Aldershot 3-1! 2 goal advantage into the 2nd leg... and a good chance to go to Wembley.

 

Today was just simply immense, not known a game like it at all, everyone played their part: players and the fans. You were all magnificent and I just cannot wait for the away tie. I even had tears of happiness when the whistle blew for full time, and even Kenny was crying with happiness. Everyone around me was brilliant and all went mental when the goals went in. Let's hope and pray the tears will be good ones, and not bad ones, next week.

 

Let's hope for a party come 4.45pm next Saturday!
