I have never screamed, shouted and sung as loud as I did today while watching the Fleet. Man I have done my throat in and I need some Soothers due to doing that.

All I can say is I have never been so proud of the team they played their bollox off today.

Excellent result, brilliant performance.

If only Akinde or Long had put away their chances towards the end the tie would be all but dead and buried.

Thought that for both pens. Aldershite's defenders should have been red carded

Everyone deserved the man of the match award?

I didn't really see the foul for the first penalty. But the second he was the last player otherwise John would of been through on goal. Now correct me if I am wrong but if you prevent a clear goal scoring opportunity through a foul and you are the last man isn't that an automatic red card(Not the sarcasm in my last sentence).

First penalty deserved yellow - 2nd should have been a red. Ref and road side lino were pi*s poor all game - very weak, and looked out of their depth.

My mom was a toss up between Jack Hawkins and Barratt Homes, both were truly outstanding.

Unfortunately most around where I was standing could see the Aldeshot goal coming for a while - we sat back and tried to soak up the ineviatable pressure instead of using pacy counter attacks.

We were crying out for a sub - either Ricketts on and push McPhee forward, or Purcell. Either would have done the trick. I know Moore made the killer pass for the 3rd, but that was the only noteworthy thing I saw him do all match.

As is his habit, LD left it too little, too late, and instead of perhaps winning 4-0, we went safety first.I realise 3-1 is a "settle for" score, but with the right application of substitutes we could have killed the game off.

WELL DONE YOU REDS!!!!!

If the player was the last man back, even if the penalty was debatable, surely it should be a red even if it's a borderline pen. as the ref's still given a foul and the player is blatantly stopping a goalscoring chance.

From where I was Chukki appeared to be running diagonally into the area, not straight at goal. As the defender was goal side befi=ore he fouled, it wasn't a 'clear cut' scoring opportunity with only the keeper to beat. If the way I saw was correct, then the yellow was correct.

I will never EVER, work out why the second wasn't a red. Akinde was just about to pull the trigger with only the keeper in front of him.

At the start of the second half when Chuckie has that chance , I though to myself "thats a match changing moment" . Minutes later , Lance pulls of two absolute superb saves , one which had a touch of Gordon Banks about it. That was in my opinion the moment when Aldershot knew we are not a push over and we are going to battle for every ball next week.

Every man played his part today. I wont call a MOM . Everyone deserved it and this week is going to be so pointless and slow. Roll on next Saturday. Lets enjoy the moment and be proud of what Liam is creating here.

Excellent result , first rate first-half performance - the need for a reshuffle was sooo evident 15 mins into the second half , but it never came . The most obvious would have been Ricketts on , push McPhee up , Luke off . Next Saturday there will be no hiding place for anybody not prepared to sweat blood for the cause - perhaps some are too Lukewarm for this task . I know we have a small squad , I know Rushden are due on Tuesday , but next Saturday , after this result , is too big to ignore .

Totally. This is proper on for Wembley now. They were awful in the first half.

Much as I hate to disagree with C.G!

The first was the stonewall red card as Chucki was running towards the goal. The second one was a yellow because Akinde had pulled slightly wide. The ref bottled it on the first occasion and was never going to red card the second penalty.

I thought Aldersh*t got what they deserved today as they thought they could get a result by shuffling their squad. They showed no respect (that makes a change doesn't it!) and literally paid the penalty. Where did they get that centre half from who was subbed at half time! Chucki and Akinde made him look distinctly Ryman league class didnt they!

Funnily enough I agree with C.G in wondering why George wasn't brought on but..... hey-ho 3-1 is 3-1!

F....ing Blinding game today which means that next weeks is gonna be a cracker!

COME ON YOU REDS!!!!!

I did qualify my statement with "as I saw it".I was in front of the Trust hut - probably 60 yards away from the penalty incidents - so I got a different perdpective on the action. I still think they should have been reduced to 10 men - they even admit that on their own forum.
Ref was dire, simply inept, weak and overawed.
