Well, Haworth went off with a calf problem. And we adapted. Something we failed to do against Hastings, but the lads have more confidence now I believe. They knew a win was needed, and they dug in. Hopefully Rob's injury isn't too bad. But we got used to playing the ball on the deck and knocked it around brilliantly. Billericay couldn't cope with it when we got it down and played. So many good performances today. Hard to pick the best. Martin had a very good game I thought though and he had a few good efforts on goal.

 

I felt we always had the element of control today. We look like a team that has a solid backbone now with Jay and Macca in the middle, and Louis playing well at the back. Pinns as usual is great, and the wide players really look to get forward.

 

Next week looks mouth-watering. Lets get as many of us up to Hornchurch as possible, and cheer our lads on. I heard there were just two spaces left on the supporters coach, but maybe they've already gone!

Shame about Rob,hope he will be alright for the Horhchurch game as he will scare the crap out of them,all in all not a bad performance from the GATE,solid at the back,strong in the mid and if we took a chance and tested the keeper in 2nd half more it could have been more,still a good win and and even better win next Saturday. biggrininvasion

every win is a great win, but yesterday was even better as it was against one of our play-off rivals. We played some good stuff once we went 1-0 up and were very unlucky not to score more. The wind did play an important factor in the game and probably helped us in the second-half as it slowed the ball up when they attacked.

 

Anyway well done Gate on a thoroughly deserved 3 points. Bring on the Hornchurch
