If you are in the Plough End, near the drum, tomorrow, please do not stop singing, standing, making a presence of yourself and 'being the 12th man'. Please do not waste a valuable seat if you do not plan to vocally get behind the boys in the traditional noisy area.

Aldershot will undoubtedly make a spectacle to enthuse their team- the Plough End need to do this tomorrow for the Fleet. I strongly believe the atmosphere has to be top-notch if we can get a result- come on boys!

The rest of the crowd have a tendency to be very quiet if we are obviously struggling to assert dominance - their apprehension & jangling nerves can literally be felt around the ground.

It really helps if the noisy brigade can keep the volume up if this happens. We can rest assured that Aldershot won't go quiet even if we sweep into a 2 goal lead inside the 1st 10 minutes (Please, God?)

I suggest that Fleet try to score more goals than their opponents, then they can win duck

Did we do well enough for you Mr Dyke sir?

One of my abiding memories will be hearing what seemed like the whole of the standing enclosure opposite singing the old "Come on you reds .." refrain. Quite some time since co-ordinated (& I have to say quite tuneful) noise has been heard from there!

The greatest match ever, for me so far, in over 35 years of watching the Fleet and I don't think I'm just saying that in the afterglow of a great result. Every one of the players gave his all. We tend to take Stacy's skills for granted now, so it's no surprise that the sponsors, maybe watching him for the 1st time, should make him man of the match. Personally for me, it would probably have been Chris - cool as you like for the 2 penalties & scarcely beaten by an extremely useful front line, playing at full back (who'd ever think we gave him a trial as a forward?) If not Chris, then Paul for holding that back line firm & driving in what could prove to be the crucial 3rd goal.

Whatever happens next Saturday, I think there are many of us who will never forget yesterday's display.

Up the Fleet.

Quite a statement. I suppose it depends on whether you're talking just in terms of the entertainment value of the match itself - if so, it could be a contender. For sheer joy at the outcome and its wider significance, Bedford still takes the accolade for me.

A terrific game nonetheless - the switch from frustration at conceding after missing good chances to go further ahead to euphoria at our wonderfully well-worked third goal was quite something, and will live long in the memory. But it was only the first leg - complete the job next week, and I suspect it would take quite a while to sink in.

Thought so.

The multi story car parks are probably about 20 mins (uphill) from the away entrance.

One of our fans nearly had a heart attack a couple of years ago after the slog around the ground and through the magic wood to get to the turnstile.
