Yes but we all know that the Premier Division Championship is all over bar the shouting and Beaconsfield SYCOB have won it, they're all but home and hosed. I also note that you have been allocated Hanwell Town v Cockfosters on Tuesday 25 March, another meaningless mid table affair so it's not just coincidence.

The Premier Division title was not decided when I officiated those games and the last time I checked no silverware has been handed out so the race for the championship is still on.

The majority of my appointments this season have been in the Premier Division which would suggest that I’m having a good season.

It’s not relevant weather I do mid table in the Premier on games in Division 1 or Division 2. I treat all games the same.

You are saying here then, that if he isn't officiating at all Beaconsfield league matches between now and the end of the season that it is for some spurrious reason, as all other matches are meaningless (according to you).

If you are going to try and point score - at least have the intelligence to post something that isn't complete nonsense.

Yes that's exactly what I'm saying, other than the games involving Ruislip Manor and Holmer Green that is until one of them is relegated with London Colney

So Rhodes I expect that all officials who are given games that do not involve SYCOB should just pack their bags and go on holiday as there is no point in going there. In fact perhaps the players should do the same as well Rhodes. What do you think ?

Krooner - No I'm not saying that at all but Mick Ewen is no fool and will only allocate his best officials to Beaconsfield SYCOB games for the remainder of the season, the cream of the crop if you like. By way of example Ben Furneaux is running the line at Grosvenor Vale next Monday when Beaconsfield travel to Ruislip Manor, what does that tell you.

I think that is how Mick operates, I recall it was the same with Edgware Town last season and Oxford City the season before from about mid March onwards.

What is jibberish is your manipulated put down on Pete. He cannot possibly be inolved in every SYCOB game until the end of the season, you know that full well and yet make a ludicrous claim that if he isn't then it's a black mark against him. You really are as mad as a box of frogs sometimes.

What that tells me Rhodesy Old Boy is that I know one of the Assistants but have yet to find out the name of the Match referee or the other assistant.

Don't start me off on Bank Holiday fixtures (or rather, lack of them)!

Ruislip, a club who always play their home midweek games on a Monday, are playing on Tuesday, when the day before is Bank Holiday Monday! Wonder who's idea that was?

From the Ruislip forum:

"The home game with BEACONSFIELD SYCOB scheduled for easter monday march 24th has now been MOVED to the following day tuesday march 25th and kick off is 7.45pm.

With the middlesex county cup final scheduled for the easter monday evening and lots of other local games scheduled for the afternoon our opponents have kindly agreed for the match to be played on the tuesday which may also increase the attendance with no other local games scheduled and help our financial situation."

Thanks for that, HTFCew!!!

I withdraw, unreservedly, my intimation that it was the league who fixed the date.

I think Pete being confident in his own abilities rather enjoys the banter wink

You couldn't be more wrong if you tried as I have nothing against Petethegreek and quite like him, however anyone going to Cockfosters tonight should pull Mick Ewen to one side in the Club House at half time and I'm sure he will readily tell you in confidence that he wouldn't let him within a million miles of Holloways Park before the end of this season.
