torquay have beaten york 2-0 in semi final 1st leg.

Crowd was 4510. Would be nice if we could get 3,000. Cannot see why not if Shots bring 1200, wolud leave us to attract 1800, which should be attainable with a Wembley final in the offing.

I read the crowd at Torquay was around 2,200 with 100 or so York fans.

1800 locals when Man united vs Portsmouth are live at 12.45 midday? The early kick off really hasnt done the club any favours.

 

There may be 1800 "home supporters" but I bet only about a 1000 are locals. The rest will be MYFC'ers. Therein lies the problem -

getting the locals to show an interest.

 

Purely out of interest, if the Football Club was to reach the Football League and it was averaging crowds of 3000 every week, would the authorities insist on a Midday kick off every week?

I think its down to the WHETHER, whether it rains, whether people prefer to watch footie on tv,or whether they can get off their arses and support their local team.
