just read in the observer that steve if he plays tommorrow will chalk up 367 appearances and will move up to 7th in the list of highest appearances for the club, this is a great achievement when even in non-league football players move clubs at an astonishing rate.(still a way to go to catch terry Reardon on 484)

While Steve is a great ambassador for the club etc etc etc his absenses due to work commitments are costing us dearly.

Just a shame the Observer's facts are wrong - Steve made his debut on 6/2/1999 at Purfleet, not 1998 during the last Conference season. Therefore he's been at the club 9 years, not quite 10 yet!

 

Also where the hell is Hollands Park and who plays there? Maybe we should seek another ground-share, we might win a game!

Yes Doc, your correct, sh#t defending especially when Steve is not available and the defence has to be shuffled i.e. Riddell at centre back, John Gray at left back and Connor at right back.

 

No one said it was Steve's fault he has to work but it's a fact it could cost us dearly.

Not having posted for a while, I felt I had to say something.

 

The fact that we've conceaded a shed load of goals this season and 3rd bottom is doen't make a c***p of difference if one side of the coin Steve Daly is our best defender or the other side his work commitments could cost us dearly. Since August it's been everybody's fault. One player doesn't make or break a team.

 

I've always been taught that defending starts from the front.
