Man of the Match v Salisbury

Recommended Posts

McCarthy played well I thought along with Sacha, Chukki scored a couple of times, so was obvious choice for the sponsors. Salisbury had very few serious attempts on our goal in my opinion.

Agree Linesman with all yellow flag stood up to ref, was good to see.poor crowd yes, but it was snowing then rain and freezing, along with Man utd and Arsenal on the box,On top of that some supporters could be more interested in watching Saturdays match, than last nights, also may have fans that do not normally go to away matches are contemplating away travel on the following Saturday,so cost comes into it for many.

Still do not believe there were only 800 odd down there last match, not when you could see how much more space there was last night with 600+.

To be fair to the Salisbury fans, thought they done well as there may have only been about 30 or so of them, but out sung the fleet fans a lot of the time.also had more songs in there repartee than our normal stick it up your bottom song, (object yellow etc etc ) bring back some of the 60/70s football songs I say. tip toe through the plough end, and born under a plough end stand etc etc gagged cheerleader cheerleader

I can, when you look at exactly who they've played in that time...Droylsden, Vics, Stafford, Weymouth twice, Halifax, Kiddy and Rushden!

With only the Burton, FGR and Torquay games at home to worry about (and take 5 points from) and Oxford at home (who have been pretty sh!t away from home all season) it doesn't take too long to add up.

It's interesting to see that we've played most of those games (with the exception of two) and only lost one of them... and I'd fancy us to get results away at Kiddy and home to Oxford anyway.

In any case, we went an unprecedented 18 games unbeaten in 2004 (albeit over two seasons) so they can poke right off.

Presumably they're referring at least in part to the penalty claim against Ricketts for handball in the second half - it could hardly have been described as 'intentional'.

There was that rather comic incident when Moore won a free kick for falling over the ball in the first half though. wink

Last night was a proper non-league game, with bitterly cold weather, subdued atmosphere and a meagre attendance - as though MyFC never happened...
