The link at the start of the thread mysteriously takes me to the club website, but tells me I need to log in to view the page. There is no sign of the car parking article on the news items that I can see.

If the Official Ebbsfleet Football club is a mystery site then maybe you should get out more, yes it does now say you have to login, but it did not earlier, the car park would be sitting there Empty Saturday without it being used by the Fleet supporters,so why charge, you honestly believe they will bring someone in special to work for two hours??? behave. If they are building links with the club why charge at all???? Are they afraid people will get free parking and walk into Gravesend to do shopping? Maintain the car park? are they going to put in a proper footpath to make it safe for families? I doubt it.To me they know the club is struggling for money yet they charge for car parking,I bet if they put up the Entrance fee by £2 next season, you would all moan like hell. yet you will happily pay it to park your car.seems like you worry more about your cars than you club. Happy days

Why dont we create a web based group of like minded people, charge £35 a head and take over the running of the car park and vote on what to do?

Nah, that would never work, would it?:)

Ohhh your a MYFC member I see now. so unless you vote on it the cameras will not work, if the guys are not standing on the gates taking your money ?I see and I bet all that money is going to the club, or are they just taking some of there sponsorship money back , average 500 cars x2 Grand a week 22 grand a year over 3 years 66 grand opps another 180 got all the sponsorship back ok put it up to a fiver job nearly done.

Not getting into a battle of wits with you, you appear to be unarmed.

As I said before, I obviously haven't seen the carpark, but 2 quid to park in a secure area isn't bad in this day and age. How much do you have to pay for town centre parking, and is that secure?

I could blame the club for turning their carpark into a coach dump, therefor stopping people paying 1 quid, or more, to park up to their knees in mud every time it rains.

If you want to go by car, and not public transport, and you want to find it undamaged when you return, Eurostar/NCP have provided the means at a 50% or more discount, on normal perking fees!

That's the thing tho AFF... its not at 50%. They are only opening that Car-Park for the match, so it is in effect a new revenue stream for Eurostar.

No-one is saying that £2 isn't a reasonable cost - its very good value and nice to know the cars are safe. The argument is that why can't the clubs main sponsors GIVE this to the fans?

Forgive me if I am wrong, but isn't car-park C designated for 'domestic' passengers? Of which there are none till 2009?
What would be the use of a 5 hour tariff if going to Europe, who else is going to be parking there?
