Season Tickets 08-09 views ?

Under 8's £30 a ticket and Strongbow £1.00 a pint ? :-)

"And we nick their dinner money and flush their heads down the bogs. "

good to see we are going to be pro active with the Yoooff !

On charging Under 8's a £1 , I put a free season ticket when with an adult ST. I suppose the question is, is the £1 charge really worth collecting for the kids ? , we will get it anyway in the food and drinks, and , and, daaaaaad, " Can I have a ? "

So the £25 Fleet Under 16's for a season is effectively a season ticket .

Sounds a great scheme, but must be a shock to the pocket when you hit 16 and have to pay adult prices ?.

Is Junior classed at under 16 for all tickets ?

I will amend the posting that I put earlier today later this evening with any amendments from during the day.

So Far,

Junior Season Tickets, U16, £25 not £100

Under 8, Match day £1 or Free, with an adult. Views on which ?

If season tickets are priced quite low at the 10-5-1 rate, should a discount still be offered for early purchase ? ,

Up to what date ?

How Much ?

Discount in the form of a voucher maybe for the club shop ?, or catering IF it is in house ?

Oh dear, how sad, never mind. I am going to mention the "W" word here so be prepared for a shock....work.....thus earning...thus being able to pay for one's football & beer !! It used to be such a popular idea !

Cheers,

I'm sure some academic somewhere has done a study, but I'm wondering where the balance line is. In other words, how low can we put ticket prices and still come out about the same because of other cash outlays (food, programs, 50/50, etc.)

I don't think gate receipts will ever be unimportant, but with 29,000 members, the increase in merchandise sales should take some of the pressure off of gate receipts in the effort to get the club back to break even.

I did read a study that suggested lowering prices alone has a minimal long-term effect on attendance. But lowering prices in conjunction with other promotions has a real and sustainable impact on attendance.

I think this is a very reasonable idea; provided it's sustainable to the club then I feel it's enticing enough to make a difference. How about if the programme price was increased to £3 to help supplement a reduction of the entrance cost? I certainly would be prepared to pay that.

Is there currently a discount in entry prices for University students? I know many are away most of the season but for when they come back during their breaks.

I'd also extend this to anyone in full time education post sixteen. A lot of my friends have said they'd love to come to a few matches but just don't have the money.
