Talking of Gravesend, anyone see the one show earlier on? They're finding places with weird names and looking at their origins.

And yes, Gravesend was their place today - Phil Tuffnell was roaming the high street and everything!

Did they trot out the old myth that it got its name because plague bodies were washed up here from London?!

I would leave at 7 to 7:30

Give you plenty of time to poodle down and grab a bit of breakfst on the way.

There are some closures around jct 8 of M1 that could get moody and of course there is the ongoing b****x that is the A2 widening but you should be ok at that time. When you hit the roadworks on M1 stay in th elfet hand lane as sometimes they put a contrflow in and you cant exit from lanes 2 and 3 onto m25. There are average speed cameras on this stretch as well so you need to factor in an extra 10 to 15 mins. My satnav says 209 minutes so guess 4 hours is a good estimate for the delays you may expieriance.

Park in Eurostar if you can as the last thing you need is some yoof "doing yer windas init."

Hope you enjoy your visit

What's the road works/traffic like down your end around 11 am?

Nasty, it normally takes me about 3/ 3.5 hours from Stuarts house to mine in London, use the A1/ M11 then hit the M25Dartford crossing. PM me or get my number from Stuart.
