Alienation of traditional fan base.

Will the reaction be the same when you are promoted next season and a load of local new fans turn up? Not want them either.

It was a one off...

When you beat Aldershot over 2 legs, I will read with glee the number of fans that get ejected from Wembley for not sitting as your used to standing at football....see if its out of order then.

If it happens again, I will agree with you - its out of order.

Someone has got giddy, shown off in front of mates, done what he always has done...whatever...just dont go calling the kid an idiot etc....you don't even know him.

In fact...i dont even know him!!!

To be fair,guys...

The bloke that run onto the pitch has posted a sincere and truthful appology on the MyFC forum.

He will not do it again,I´m sure.

That said,I agree with Harry and Jeff here that the reaction from some MyFC members hasn´t been what I would like to see.

It needs to be said that behaviour like running onto the pitch must be condemned, and mustn´t be repeated.

"Now forgive me if i am stirring up a hornets nest here....by my [****!!****] word....what is the world coming to.

A bloke runs on the pitch yesterday and the whole world is coming to the end...The fa will dock points, the Ebbsfleet brand will be damaged.......

For what its worht I cant get my head round why anyone would run on the pitch we all know the rules, your arrested and out...luckly the fella, of whom i spoke to on Saturday just had the former happen.

But the over reactin of a Fleet fan on URL

Has really got my goat....

[****!!****] me, have we takenover a god squad football team, that have fans that don't sware etc......

Moaning about 'abuse' to a former player - and then I get told this is what Non League football is all about...you can't do this and that...well if that's the reaction there is going to be each time MyFc do something they dont like then ban me, stick my membership up my [****!!****] and I will go back to the wilderness that is Rotherham United.

Im wound up big style.....if its a wind up by the lads on the site above they go me..

ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGHHHH

Gonna go a lay down in a dark room for a bit..OOOOOOO SSSAAARRRR....OOOO SSSAAAARRR (as they say on Bad Boys)

And whilst we are at it......can that kid that shouts go....go....go....gooo or whatever it is when Fleet attack be kicked out in future games...that to me is a crime worse than going on the pitch at half time.

ARRRRRGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Trying to calm down, but I can't..."

I can't be bothered to type out another reply, so I'll just copy in what I put on the MYFC site:

The abuse of Scott Tynan was imbecilic & showed just how little some MyFC people have bothered to research the club they've "taken over." Scott did a bloody good job for us when we were without proper goalkeeping cover - the guy earned us points, ff'ss. I don't believe in getting in anyone's face or abusing them. Banter is different, but some people don't know, or don't possess the requisite number of brain cells to tell, the difference.

As for the guy getting thrown out - another thread on here refers to it being Dixie Dean, whether that is true or not I don't know. The "boy" who shouts "Go,go go" is Kenny Carpark. I remember him from at least as far back as the season we won the Souther League South in the 74/75 season, so he's no boy! He sells programmes from a hut just inside the Plough turnstiles & maybe a little "eccentric" & "individual" with his choice of verbal encouragement, but he is as much a part of EUFC as the rickety old stand I have sat in for the last 37 years.

I think the interest in the Fleet is great. I think the thought of people from the other side of the world listening to Chas's commentaries is amazing. I think extra fans coming to our matches is brilliant. But I hope that people who think we are some kind of God Squad team because we don't think abusing former players or invading the pitch is acceptable would forget the whole MyFC thing & put their £35 towards a season ticket at a club where their views are the mainstream.

If comments like the ones that opened this thread ever become the accepted way of looking at things at MyFC, I will not be renewing.

EH? Those are my own comments & feelings which I copied & pasted. I use the same username on both forums. I have just added this on 'tother side:

Quoting: Arithon
"Graham.

I agree with most of your post but should point out that local fans were chanting about Tynan too "Ebbsfleet reject etc"" this included Kenny."

I have no objection whatsoever to people chanting this. I'd be a complete dickhead if I did. My understanding, as someone who was not at the game, was that a lot worse than this was directed at Scott. If it was, I have no time for it, whoever directed it, Johnny come lately, long term, diehard supporter or whatever. I have had had long arguments on the Fleet Forum about what is banter & what is mindless abuse for many years before MyFC came along.

I would never want to give the impression that all the "old" guys know how to behave & the new ones didn't. Those who persecute & belittle their own players & go way over the top in their abuse of the opposition have been a minority amongst our number for decades. Most of the MyFC people I have met have not been in this camp. Long may it continue.

There i'm out of the closet now...we friends? or am I also a 'bad' member of the MyFc crewe?

I missed out on this whole embarrassing episode. It was Dixie Dean, and that's confirmed? Jaysus.

It's no secret I'm a MyFC member, and let me go on the record that there aren't two sides to this story. Anyone who does such is an idiot and deserves what happened to the fan who ran onto an American football field years ago. The running back of the Baltimore Colts (yes, I know I'm dating myself) laid out the idiot completely. They dragged him off the field, unconscious. Well done, I say. The same should have happened to Dixie Dean and anyone who glorifies his actions is not doing MyFC or EUFC any favors.

I'm wondering what the percentages are of idiots in any group, not just MyFC. I think it's safe to say we've identified the first one.

There were very few fans embarrassed by the incident (or even noticed it). The main embarassment is that the whole EUFC vs MYFC thing blew up yesterday.

The most important thing that happened at the game is that our team is going to be a bit depleted by an injury, a red card and a couple of knocks.

Not sure what you mean by 'agendas'.

The fact is that someone ran onto the pitch from the Fleet end.

It's entirely unacceptable regardless of whether they are MyFC or not.

It matters not that it was half time.

The fact that people seemed to find this humourous on the MyFC forum is just plain odd.

Northwich should ban him and rightly so.

Fair enough, it was at half-time. It was still a stupid thing to do, but as others have said, DD has apologized, left without protest and that should pretty much be the end of it. I hate that it's made the tense relationship between MyFC and local supporters even more strained.
