Since beating Swifts we seem to have a problem finding the net. Four goals in our last 5 games, and two of those were against Leyton who've conceded an average of 3.4 per game over their last 5 games.

Well we were playing well just no finish the only notable events of the game were the following:

Their keeper was in a stop/start relationship with his manky hat.

The referee and linos were a laugh in a way of bad decisions WHEN WILL WE GET A DESCENT SET OF OFFICIALS!

Shave had a glorious chance to put us a goal to the good but fluffed his volley and slipped to the ground.

When will BWG stop these inappropriate flicks he is a good player but there is only time for these things if we are winning by a certain margin of goals.

Ashford probably had the closest chance to a goal when they struck the post midway through the first half with Jack Buckfield beaten.

Well thats basically it for this match 3 points are at the top of our list at the moment ad we should be getting them in the coming weeks

COME ON YOU BLUES!!

I think this game reminded me of the recent Harrow game, the only plus i will take from this game is we lost 4-1 last time, so in that respect we have done well, still tight at the top, wombles heading for the top spot, while chelmos have a womble wobble laugh Blue fan

You never stop do you, you sad little man. In a thread that is supposed to be about your result yesterday, we still have to have a little dig with regard to your "friends" up the road.
Anyway, despite the fact that attendance figures are of no consequence whatsoever in the grand scheme of things (that's what you keep saying isn't it?), I believe Folkestone's attendance yesterday DOES prove that a good few of my fellow Clarets DO travel.
After eliminating the AFCW attendance, their average home crowd has been 328 (including away supporters), so I would say that there were a good 70/100 Clarets there yesterday.

Sad little man BC...not like you...you usually rise above...

Dear me, must've touched a nerve.

Well, it takes one to know one judging from your posts on the Slop Box...so perhaps, people in glass houses...and all that...

Rick, you're right..."They really don't like it up 'em".

Anyway...back on topic...I thought the conditions dictated a percentage of the play but we have appeared to lost our ability to pass the ball along the ground...Too much lost possession cost us as did failing to covert two one on one's with the keeper. If we want to have any chance of finishing in the top 5, we have got to stop faffing about and take the game by the scruff and dominate!!!

Indeed BB - was actually thinking of popping down to Chelmsford for a couple of hours yesterday, but those extra few miles to Folkestone would have been a killer, so decided to stay at home!

I don't mind it "up me" Gazza - just bemused as to why a comment with regard to a totally insignificant fact about attendance figures, was buried in a thread supposedly inviting posts in respect of your result yesterday.
Anyway, if you take exception to my "sad" posts on the Slop Box (sic), there's a simple solution now that we have an "ignore posts" button on the forum.

It was a poor result and a poor performance for me especially going forwards. I don't think a single one of our "attacking" players could say they had a good game.

I'm more than happy with the way we set up away from home and hope we can remain solid on the road as we have some very difficult away games left.

I do think though we need to change it at home and play with two-up, although to do that we need to have forwards who are capable of playing for more than half an hour. Visiting teams know our system now and on the evidence of our last couple of home games it appears quite easy for average (meaning average and not poor)teams to stifle our creative players. I can't remember seeing a game with so few opportunites for a long time.

We haven't got what we wanted out of our last few games but we are still in the hunt. Hopefully we can pull off a couple of strong away performances and get back on the winning trail.

The significance of Chelmsford's support at Folkestone to yesterday's game is lost on me I'm afraid.

No, I get slated for going to the Blues midweek match's during the season, buy beer in the Billericay bar, buying food from the stall, buying a programme, hand in pocket for whatever ticket when approached...all in the name of supporting non league footy........and not ashamed in supporting Billericay on the night either.........but then this MB's not real anyway.....is it???
