I applied to be a player before i realised the post of team coach was likely to become available. I offer luxury travel and my cv for that is on www.comeridewithme.com

As for working under a millionaire......

Gussy, i never gave Big JR permission to use that photo of me, so please get all thoughts of it out of your mind. smile

interesting words from Mr Day and Mr Cooper, sadly words are cheap, speaking from soneone who knows what has gone on and is still going on between Cove and Chertsey, I will try and put Cove's side of the matter. Chersey are insisting that the players they want are deregistered rather than transferring them, and have said that if Cove agree to that they will not go for any other cove player this season, how kind of them, as Cove are within the rules of the CCL by only agreeing to transfer 1 player every 14 days to stop the club being decimated, Mr Cooper and Mr Day are very unhappy. As I see it today it is Cove tomorrow it could be your team .

Mr Days comments about the players he has at present still being wanted, that is not what I have heard, if I were the players I would start packing their bags because you will come in one saturday and find someone sitting under your peg and then you will be gone.

Coves win today has shown that the team spirit from the lads that are left and the players that have come back because Mr Cooper has gone is fantastic, but watch this space I am sure jaws will be back for more players- no wonder his phone bill is always so high the amount of calls he makes to players of other teams.

Just to put my input on this i see cove and chertsey arent getting on at the moment well feel for us Raynes Park who at last got 3 points yesterday and now need to move on from this win. Cove have been sniffing round couple of our players over last few weeks and what a surprise they take our main striker so to me cove arent angels in this. We know our striker had calls put in before hand

hi

just to let people know who only see or hear bad things about me..my company are throwing cove between 3-5K in the summer for sponsorship , just to see the club keep things going as they should....considering cove normaly get £500 at most for sponsorhip over the years this is a nice touch and thats on top of the same fihure they got last summer ....i had ambition and had to do what i did, but im pleased to say have done this for Cove and know it is appreciated by them , so want to put all this behind us....good luck cove

I'm not judging coops but just a bit confused.

You left because of ambition???

What ambition?

When i played against you when you were at AFC Wimbledon you had 4000 fans cheering you on. 3 or 4 years on and you move to Cove, then on to Chertsey. I'm not sure what your ambition is.

Is it to go higher up the football ladder as a player or to manage a team that gets promoted? It cant be the first surely...you were a legend at AFC and a thorn in the side for Ash!! You wont reach those same heights at Chertsey surely?

Again, i'm not judging. Think you're a top bloke - just curious.

hi John

appreciate the nice comments about me etc...yeah playing for AFC was something special prob cant explain unless experienced what i did and as a team did there it was unreal. And as a player that was something i will never forget...but at 33 i decided management was for me ...end of last season playing at Horsham and not enjoying it to much just got me an urge to have taste of management and yeah you might say going to cove isnt ambitious but for me its about dropping down a few levels to get a taste of management and on that cove are a great little club with great people and has been very hard time over the last week for me. but u might not get an chance in management straight away higher up the leagues and im so grateful for cove for giving me that chance and i like to think what i done down there shows this ie joint second with 4 games in hand ...so when i say ambition i just mean Chertsey with the set up and Spencer who wants to move the club on and on was such a good chance i couldnt turn down. And think Chertsey will move up the leagues and be back in ryman where they belong. Where u the one that used to always kick me ha....take care

You certainly know me by face and my severe lack of height. Been at Ash 7 seasons now so used to play against you when you were at Afc Wimbledon. Didnt play in the first Afc meeting at Ash in early August of Afc's 1st season as i was on holiday. Played in all the other ones especially the two 5-3 thrillers when Harvey scored the 5th at our place. Good battles all of them.

we had a brief chat outside of Cove's ground after the aldershot cup match. As 1 or 2 people have mentioned, i drive a very fast blue car.

I can see why you have moved - Cove is a tiny village with no real potential - it doesnt even have a high street. Chertsey on the other hand does and can attract a lot more supporters. Its a proper town and certanly can progress up the football pyramid.

I wish you all the best mate.

I never kicked you Coops - but i'll certainly give you a little nibble next time we meet. Remember this conversation!! wink

I am not sure where Surrey Legend gets his information from, but as far as I know Cove did everything correctly when Trevor left Frimley to ome to Cove and I know for a fact the club insisted he followed the rules over players who wanted to transfer.

As for the Kevin Cooper situation can i suugest you all let it die now, Kevin has moved on, and so have Cove, yes our sponsors have agreed to sponsor us for next season however no amount has been agreed as of yet- take it from someone who knows. As for Coops the committee regret his leaving at such a time however we wish him well with Chertsey.

Cove Supporter, a club can ask a person to do the correct thing but this does not stop someone telling players to sit out until the 14 day period is up and you can transfer more. It left the club with no players even though they were signed on still.

Have you gotten in trouble Cove Supporter for your posting a few days ago as your last post is quite a change.

Surrey Legend, if that was asked of players at Frimley Green I know the committee were not part of it, and anyway it didnt does us much good did it as if I remember corrctly we only just avoided the drop yet again!!!

No I havent been told off for my comments of a few days ago, I am just tired of it all, we can do nothing more. Kevin Cooper has gone, but I would like to think that by us making the stand and letting Chertsey know in no uncertain manner that we would not tolerate players being spoken to, we managed to keep some sort of team together.

As for the sponsorship obviously as Mr Cooper said "HIS" company are indeed sponsoring us and in this current climate that money is desparately needed, however I say again no-one knows how much that is for so the figures are pure speculation.

What I would like to know is how long you can keep this saga going?
