Chertsey 3 vs 2 Reading Town

Recommended Posts

Ha good work Gussy.

To be fair they are putting the ground work in, have spoken to 4 of Bedfont Greens players, dont think any of them were overly interested as they will be very good next season, were looking at our young centre forward, will they be able to keep them all happy if they all sign?

He didnt shell out last season unless you call a couple of training tops shelling out.

Completely agree with the paragraph about do these players have the balls for this division? Rob Ursell didn't and has moved back up and done well at Carshalton.....
But ambitious players want to be at ambitious clubs and there is nothing better than playing in a team that is winning!

Talk of players being offered £120-£180 to drop down.

Talk is Lee O'leary will leave Hendon at the end of the season to join the Town. Andre Delisser & Ryan Gray (both higher level) have already been added.

Stop blowing your own trumpet you egg! I'd crack up if all this money means that you got the boot and they bought another 'big time kent' in on millions of pounds!! ha ha

C L so what is going to happen to all the players you have now the way your going on its as if they have all played crap you are not very loyal as you seem to not care about your rejected players the last time this happened a certain club in sw6 was took over by a russian with dubious credentials lest we all forget the chertsey manager / owner track record

Hi all,

great to read all this debate going on about will Chertsey win the league next year,I think the league will be tight next year with possibly 5 or 6 teams who are capable of winning it. Like people have said there is no point in winning it unless you have the facilities to go up.

Anyway my opinion is that money is not always going to win the league.

Best of luck to all the clubs,I look forward to Chertsey visiting Horley.

Thats £3,750 per week for 40 weeks. Or over £200 per man for an 18 man squad. Thats a Top Ryman Prem/Conference South budget.
You have to be mad to want to take on that wage bill in a £400 average per week league.
Sounds totally stupid to me.
A decent manager with Chertseys facilities and support should be able to compete at the top on their current budget.
Could it be that their current management and coaching staff are rubbish?

cant believe the numbers mentioned.

you could probably buy a ryman 1 south club for that sort of money if they would have you.

And considering your not paying your reserve full back 200 a week for not playing, your star striker would be on 500 plus.

If you are weighing out that much you might expect a few goals back and some cup runs.

no pressure then eh?

christmas. tears.

hi

thought would quickly come on here and put things straight on here as reading some of the messages on here and have to say some of it very untrue ! ! I know that with squad we are building for next season no one will be on anywhere near the figures people are saying on here for players ! We will want players whos first interest is to have ambition and want to be succesful and play for Chertsey Town and not what money will they will be on before they consider it! This wont happen, we havent signed Ryan gray he is at tooting and doing well so not sure where these rumours come from ....but yes i am excited about the challenge and we will give a good go next season

just wanted to quash the rumours

coops
