Chertsey 3 vs 2 Reading Town

Recommended Posts

if Chertsey think that just because they have lots of money they will win the league they must be stupid, Why would players drop down 2 divisions for the same money.

Cove did exactly the same in close season and are they top...no.. so that should tell you something.

Its the best motivation for teams when they play these greedy premadonnas

When the Chairman is also the /manager. Don't think there is much chance of him getting bored!! now he's got coops in beside him and a great young coach in Paterson I think there is a great chance of promotion.

Completely agree with the paragraph about do these players have the balls for this division? Rob Ursell didn't and has moved back up and done well at Carshalton.....

But ambitious players want to be at ambitious clubs and there is nothing better than playing in a team that is winning!

Talk of players being offered £120-£180 to drop down.

Talk is Lee O'leary will leave Hendon at the end of the season to join the Town. Andre Delisser & Ryan Gray (both higher level) have already been added.

First of all I heard £150k :o, then I heard £50k wink.

Could it be somewhere between?

More?

Less?

Couldn't care less to be honest. bootyshake

There is more to football than money.

Would have thought those clubs with lots to spare should get their grounds up to spec as well!

I heard 150k for the season as playin budget, seems way OTT to me and only £149999.99 mote than Bookham's wink

Please dont take this as true, it was/is gossip so I dont intend to offend anyone if the budget is more wink

No offence to Chertsey here but personally if I was good enough to play Ryman Prem football I wouldnt drop down 2 levels to play on some horrible pitches at horrible grounds in front of next to noone, when I could be playing at AFC Wimbledon, Staines, etc all good grounds with good pitches etc. You would have to question why they want to drop down and are they worth that kind of money. I dont think anyone playing at Step 5 is worth £180 a week.

they are living in cloud cuckoo land only greedy b stards are going to go to play at that shitehole of a ground every other week.

how long will it be before Coops gets fed up with 'tim nice but dim ' manager, who lets face it is only in charge because hes got money, should sort out the decrepid changing rooms rather than paying players that sort of money, look forward to laughing when it all goes wrong

Oh And your management record is brilliant Mick T......

Your players still hitting the opposition at half time?

Bedfont = Sunday league alert!!

I'm sorry but how on earth can you talk about our ground - when you play at the orchard? hell a ground that mate.

We'll see mate but lets face it, you couldn't be more out of your league if you tried managing at this level. Go back to Sunday's mate.
