7 and half minutes!!!!

Where did they come from. There was one stoppage and one short stop for Smithy when he scored.

Seven and a half minutes what a disgrace!!

It cost us the game. And he disallowed a goal for what!!

Boys played well second half. Looked good coming forward. We gave a stupid goal away from an attacking postion!!

Good atmosphere. We are still in it but need to put a winning run together or good night. Shame cos' tonight we gave it our all.

My alter ego Inch Perfect (Paul Ince get it)Posted a question on Dons messageboard last night which was "Chris 1 at the ground would like to know why the goal was disallowed".

I did this knowing that donsradio read the messageboard and thier commentator picked it up he along with Wellsie (who was co-commentating) and answered that both of them saw nothing wrong with the goal. Now the fact the Dons commentator saw nothing wrong sums it up to me.

I fail to see the point of you or any of your postings Sanderson.

But, back to important matters...

How many more times are we going to come away from a game after a shocking performance from the referee has cost us the game? We deserved a point, at the very minimum, last night and, had it not been for that tw@, we certainly would have achieved it. A perfectly good goal ruled out for nothing and then, by my watch, seven minutes of injury time. Seven?!?!?! Where on earth did he get that from!? I have no idea where they get these referees from but I am certain that, like many others before him, he was intimidated by the occasion and crowd. He was over-awed and was blatantly a 'homer'.

However, other than that obvious injustice, we were unlucky last night. Played some good stuff at times, and could easily have been 3 up after 10 minutes. To be honest, before the goal, I didn't think Wimbledon offered that much - Scotty was hardly pulling off world-class saves left, right and centre.

Personally, I felt Trotty was at fault for the first goal (in managerial terms). The whole world could see Peters was struggling and needed to come off yet, with a perfect replacement on the bench (Corbishley), he still did not make the substitute; and, ultimately, Ryan took the free-kick which led to the goal. Trotty's ability with substitutions is non-existent.

Ah well, I think that our playoff hopes are slim now. But, keep going and, particularly in this league, you just never know.

As an afterthought, I really do hate parts of the Wombles set-up. They still think they are a big-time team. Despite the so-called segregation, their fans were still allowed to stand yards away from us in the first half, clearly attempting to antagonise us choir members. And an incident involving a steward squaring up to one of said choir members at the end was simply a disgrace. They need to buck their ideas up.

I think we made a mistake by not retaining Mike Flanagan this season, we need someone to be vocal on the touchline and make decisions on substitutes, which Mike did for us last season. OK the master plan for this season was Trotty to be a Manager and not play, but he's not vocal enough on the sidelines when he's not playing.

Part of yesterday's problem was that Ryan was too brave for his own good. When he first pulled up our Physio was aching to get on, but Ryan didn't go down - he tried to 'walk off' the injury. If he had gone down it would have accelerated the substitution. Personally I would have taken him off anyway, he was spraying passes anywhere but where they sould be going, rarely finding an amber shirt.

Only Ryan Peters knew how badly hurt he was. It was up to him to say 'no mas' and volunteer to go off. However, it was understandable (and creditable in a way) that he didn't.

As for Mike Flanagan, we let him go to cut the wage bill. So, if he came back, a player would have to be released. And non-playing senior players like Justin Skinner have been acting as our 'eyes on the touchline'. However, MF has been spotted at various Ryman matches this season - spying for us?

Words of advice Ian.. This is a message board and we have fans hence we like to discuss. If you don't want to read a discussion then you know where to go.

Anyway, to be fair I think AFC scored their winner in the 4th minute of stoppage time and that was after a short delay waiting for the free kick to be taken, so although debatable I reckon the ref was within his rights to allow about five minutes. Don't know how he managed to find the seven plus though.

Didn't see a problem with our disallowed goal though. And we really should have scored one of our three chances in the first ten minutes of the game. We won't get easier chances all season (ok, apart from Rob's tap in against Carshalton).

The AFC steward who was standing near the choir was a complete disgrace to himself and his club.

Going to be very tough to get into the playoffs now. Simply we must put wins together now starting at Maidstone. Never say never as Mike says, this league is so unpredictable, but WE have to take the bull by the horns now and win games.

It was not just Peters injured at time of their goal.

Smith was holding his back-and in some discomfort-and lost concentration ;and RT lost concentration as he was thinking what to do about it all ;so arguably, there were 3 defenders not quite 'with it' at the time of their goal

According to the MFC website report "there was only another 60 seconds of added time played by the referee", after the goal was scored so it therefore depends on the amount of time actually added - if it was 7(ish) minutes then the goal was scored after six minutes which still seems a bit excessive given the injuries, subs etc that were used.

Still that's football but it was gutting to lose such a good game in that way.

Good to see the manager highlighting the performance of Louis Smith.

Agree totally Mike - they fail (conveniently) to remember that the original Wimbledon FC now play in Milton Keynes!! They are NOT that Wimbledon, they are a club formed by supporters to keep football in 'Wimbledon' (even though they play in Kingston....) Their attitude is that they should be in the Premiership not the Ryman 'Premiership'!!! Numpties, the lot of em..
