Chins up

Agree with you there CE - we certainly did not deserve to come out of that game with nothing.

Why our goal was disallowed is a mystery only equalled by the amount of injury time. We started the second half, according to my watch, dead on 8.45 and there was around six or seven minutes injury time but I honestly don't recall that many injuries. Ryan Peters certainly didn't take up a lot of time and the only other one that I can recall was Louis Smith which seemed like cramp. And it was good to him score - he has never, at least in my opinion, let us down.

Surely the referee should be made to justify the amount of time he adds on? I know that it has benefited us in the past (Grays FA Cup?) but its not as though he has to make a snap decision on such a matter. Perhaps someone could enlighten?

All in all though a good game, rotten result but as it was my first visit to the Wimbledon set up I must say that it was impressive, especially to see 2,200 spectators on a Tuesday night.

I think the players on that pitch last night in amber and black, done themselves and Margate FC PROUD.

They fought for the whole game and IMO were beaten by a shocking referee.

7 Minutes!! It was disgraceful. With 3 subs and smithy injury the only stoppages, it should of been a MAXIMUM of 3 Minutes.

Shame on you ref.

As for the lads, unlucky

Lets hope we can go and beat Maidstone and keep up with them play-off places.

According to the programme the ref was: W Atkin (Crawley) - Alias T0sser!

He will probably go far based on previous tossers we have seen in our matches.
Best examples being Trevor Kettle and Martin Yerby (linesman in the Carling Cup who spotted the penalty...failed to get offside right all game but spotted the penalty)
