Don't get me wrong, Im not having a go at it, but a very basic ground for step 5 football, but good enough for the support the home side with a small area of cover on one side and changing rooms/bar the other side of the car park to the pitch.

Pretty strong words in the programme about refusing point blank out of costs to build a stand and a separate covered spectator accomodation and if the FA don't like it...

As for the match the hosts hadnt won a league game since September 29th but thanks to an early goal straight from a corner, played as if their lives depended on it and whilst short on skill, made up for it in commitment.

Thanks to an awful back pass half way through the 2nd half, the home side stunned themselves let alone the crowd with a 2nd goal.

The visitors got a scrambled effort on 77 minutes and then put immense pressure on the home side but the hosts held out for a well deserved win.

and Hoddy reserves very unlucky not to beat Tring reserves. First clean sheet in 5 games and were good value for the win were it not for the repeated dubious flagging of the Tring linesman.

Some interesting decisions from the ref as well, both sides bemused by some of them... funniest part was the drop ball incident. Ref run 20 yards to where he thought it should be and dropped it with no players anywhere near it?

NT that would be Pistol Pete. He's been running the line for Tring's reserves for at least 15 years & his decisions tend to even themselves out through the season. Some of the refs at reserve team level are good comedy. I did my refs badge at 17 but wouldn't fancy taking all the abuse they get.
