Top result, top performance. Lads played extremely well and defended superbly rarely letting Brentwood get a shot in on goal.

 

Whole back four was excellent in particular George and Dobbo.

 

Gab was excellent. Influential in the first goal and scored the second after a great move down the left flank.

 

We're on a real roll at the moment and long may it continue!!

Although we lost this evening, to a very useful looking Canvey side, thought it was a very good game, a fine advert for the Ryman League.

 

Good to support from both sets of fans, made it feel like being at a proper footie match.

 

Thought Dobbo was outstanding for you. Pleased to see he seems to have got over that nasty injury from a few seasons back.

 

This term is a real learning curve for us having made the step up.

Good luck to Canvey for the rest of the season.

The banter with the Brentwood lads was top draw, your support was excellent.

 

We played really well, Gab in particular standing out for me as he was not 100% fit.

 

Got to keep our heads on Saturday v Ilford and then the big one v Sudbury!

Brentwood supporters were a good bunch. They kept singing even at 2-0 down. Hopefully you'll keep them and build on the supporter base that you're starting to form.

2 funny things the Brentwood mob sang last, firstly, 'sit down if you have job' and they did, but were any of them old enough!! Brentwood Ultra definitely isn't! Secondly, 'we all follow the the Brentwood, over land and see'!! But not to Canvey, they only had 3-4 max!! Those other songs they sang were so dull, bit like watching Brentwood week in week out I suppose!!

Canvey were simply too good for them in all areas last night, and George Blewer was outstanding.Leon had another good game and Gab was excellent despite his injury. Steadily, we are starting to look like a really strong team and have now got into a winning habit which is making us a formidable opponent. With players still away on International duties and players still unfit, the squad is really working as a unit and fully deserve to be in the play-offs. Likewise, the Yellow Army really got behind the team again and the players response when they scored and at the final whistle shows they notice and really appreciate the support they are given. Great 'CLUB' performance!!!

 

Also great to see Leon scoring (and celebrating with the shaving action) so that Linney can finally get the mop shaved, Thursday night, in the club!!!!!

 

Finally, Andrew C, you are a legend!!!!
