Surprised nobody from MYFC have posted this here, they normally post anything which they feel is positive straight away - why not the negative as well?

His real name is Elliot Ingber. The real name of Octagenarian Monkey Shoulders? Who knows. He could be Elliot Ingber, too.

 

Let’s go with another one. The Magic Rat and The Mascara Snake. Ebbsfleet or Beefheart?

 

Full marks if you put the Rat with Ebbsfleet and the Snake with Beefheart. Bass clarinet and vocal on Trout Mask Replica, if you’re interested, real name Victor Hayden. Last reported to have dropped out of society completely, could right now be picking Ebbsfleet’s centre forward, providing he can get broadband reception in the redwoods.

 

This, we are to believe, is progress: an anonymous, unaccountable collective, hiding behind childish aliases. You don’t like the team? Take it up with greenweegie or LordCheese. Stand in the car park afterwards chanting: “Sack mammajamma101” until it gets dark. See how far it gets you.

 

Directors and owners can be a pain in the neck, but at least they are real people who you can appeal to in times of crisis, who are visible and engaged and can, on occasions, even be influenced, if not always for the best. Those Ebbsfleet fans wishing to complain about the direction their club is taking can go to Robbie P Longhorn or Richard Midnight Hatsize Snyder. And good luck with that, particularly as one of them is the bass guitarist on Ice Cream For Crow.

Not the first time Mr Samuel has been less than complementary about things. I didnt post as there was a talk on here last night about trying to concentrate on the important thing, ie THE FLEET and not talk about other things all the time. So you bring it up, which is fair enough. Like somebody said, for sure some papers will already have the article written "MYFC Disaster" , while others like the Independent prefer to wtite about things as they are. To repeat myself yet again, judge things in 18 months time. Apart from Magic Rat, nobody recognises the names mentioned, although I havent looked myself.

Two ways to look at this... Yes, they are all hiding behind usernames so no-one knows who they are to blame them (which is the way the article puts it).

These people signed up to a website where they were asked to pick a username, so they did. Common practise to select a username is to NOT use your real name as this helps avoid email spoofing/password guessing.

 

Hmm, not exactly rocket science then is it? Am quite happy to have a dig at the concept, but this is shoddy work. The guy should be ashamed to call himself a journalist!

This is actually childish rubbish and shows not the slightest understanding, neither do subsequent points made about anonimity etc. There will be directors of EUFC Ltd, they will be real people with names, they will be appointed by MyFC Ltd, hopefully one of them will be from the MyFC Society and perhaps one from the Fleet Trust but who klnows. But, to suggest that the Directors of the club will be anonymous forum users is just wrong.

thats exactly the point he is making and it goes back to the issue of FPPT by the FA...the anonymous people that Samuels refers to are the people that will make the decisions...the board of directors will just ensure that they are implimented..

Then why compare them to 'normal' directors (or owners). I am surprised that you believe that the MyFC membership will determine the direction the club takes. It has been stated that they will only be allowed to vote on issues that the club board deem appropriate. It is not apparent if/how the society will be represented on the club board as the board is to be appointed by MyFC Ltd. If they are represented to the degree that their shareholding would suggest then you are right but if they have only one representative on the board then as I understood from you (one member one vote) their majority shareholding will count for little in the day to day riunning of the club.

Unc, this seems somewhat contradictory to your earlier posts concerning Willie appointing himself, friends and family to the board of EUFC Ltd. Why would he do that if he had no control ?

control of the whole fandango cannot be gained through the board of ebbsfleet although that will be packed with willie waggas and freeloaders.....control rests solely with the board of MyFc Ltd.....

what the hell is the point of having a group of people who cannot make a single decision between them.

The people that have applied must be on some sort of Ego trip.

If they were called a committee, would so many have applied? I doubt it. They could not brag about being able to call themselves a Board member of Ebbsfleet. What regular person is going to respect a body of people that amount to a toothless tiger? All they are going to be, is the mouthpiece of the voters, does it take a committee to do that? maybe 3 people needed at most.How can so called Board members make sure that things are implemented if they can only get to the ground once every six months???

The question I have is, who is going to have the most Important job at Ebbslfleet,Myfc, and thats the Club Secretary ?
