agreed - and I haven't seen one yet.

But then we haven't been asked to vote on what the players eat or how often they change their underpants yet either....

It's nice to be mentioned in dispatches - even one or two postings of a postive nature which must be a first - thanks Les!! applause2

As has been mentioned on other threads, I have generally stopped posting my favoured line-up, for no other reason than it would give MyFC members a supporters opinion (for what it worth) on who is playing badly/well.

As is well documented, the ONE thing I am against regarding the takeover is team selection by the "wisdom of the crowds".

Predicting the team used to be fun, promoting good debate, then comparing with Liam's final chosen team on match day.

The forum was fun then.

I refuse to do MYFC's dirty work for them.

Any threads like this one could easily have an ulterior motive in future - ie. canvassing locals to find out who should be in the team, then arranging it to be made so.

I have noticed virtually no team selection postings by new MyFC members? Perhaps those who are new to the club realise after all that it is a completely unworkable system.

I think we should get Tony Sitford and Andy Woon up front, both still look fit and well, and should pose an arial threat. whistle

What's up Gary? You appear to be aggrieved that you are no longer allowed to pick the team. SHAME. It's not stopped you before voicing an opinion as to who should be playing where and when. Join MYFC with the rest, then you can have your say. I take it that you will be there tonight cheering the Fleet on regardless.

And I think I read a thread to the effect that there definitely wouldn't be one come the voting process...

I seem to think you are right Stu. However, surely if the MyFC masses decided that they wanted a "Let Liam Decide" option, couldn't they call for a vote on it?

Big, big difference between having a bit of fun on an internet forum choosing a team (which is done on probably EVERY football club forum wordwide) and allowing the fans choose the team for real.
soon it will no longer be a bit of fun, but real footballer's careers the MYFC owners will be meddling with.
If they choose to drop a player and put him on the transfer list as the "collective mind" no longer want him, he will go, regardless of what Liam or Alan think or say.
When that happens, as it surely will in the summer, I reckon both Liam and Alan will walk.

As for tonight - I have taken a day's annual leave to be there.

Morning, Jeff, yes, I do - 10-12 hours at a time , 4 days a week, 4 weekends in 6, Earlies, lates and nights.

To buy a season ticket would be unworkable as I am contracted to work 28 Saturdays a year.

Sometimes the shifts are favourable - others, like tonight require a days holiday.

Not so sure I would take a day off for Alty or Northwich, though.

Couldn't agree more C.G.

A prime example is Nade, would he have been given another chance by MyFC voters? Somehow I doubt it.

You can't pick a team just by watching the last match, you have to see what is happening at training, which neither us or MyFC can either see or have the expertise to make use of the knowledge if we did see it.
