Who has been a fan long enough to remember...

...when this forum was a nice place to visit?

 

When we used to talk about football and managed to disagree with each other without resorting to personal insults.

 

Couldn't we have one forum for UU, AFF and their various arch enemies and one forum for the rest of us who want to support the Fleet? (That includes MyFC members who want to talk about football but not ones who want to tell us how marvellos they or MyFC are).

Yorkfox, you would have enjoyed it much more if you had visited anytime prior to November.

You certainly aren't to blame for what has happened to the forum nor is MyFc per se, but unfortunately the ridiculously childish bickering that has followed the November announcement has just about killed off what was a very good forum.

I hate to admit it but the MyFC forum is much more interesting than this one now.

I like a good argument as much as anyone, Hay Pat you there ! :-) but we discuss and sort things out. Gets a bit naff when you think that whatever you post , it will come back, VOTE, WILL, MOONIES, Nummpties etc etc . I know, if you dont like it, keep away.

The obvious thing to do would be to ban ANYTHING relating to MYFC, especially the word MYFC.

Then we could get back to how it used to be, arguing about the team, the opposition, the way we played, the burgers, weather, etc.

And do they not have a forum of their own on which they can congratulate themselves on getting Fleet to the trophy final/promoted/new ground/17 fold increase in gates/paying off our debts and generally being better fans than the regulars?

Ah yes, the glory days. When Harry J was a girl in the corner, Slarti was just a grey ageing old hippy, CG the voice of doom, Hirsty a cider addict with an Owls scarf, Riverview Red a more regular visitor and I was the only clown in town.

 

The way forward surely has to be to find something about the MyFCers that we can criticise other than their MyFCness... that way, it's back to how it was, everyone having a pop at each other. Lovely.

Well, apart from being a bit of a bloater who eats too much, I have a young daughter who knows everything ! . Watched crap football for most of my early years before being dragged up north by an evil family of yorkshire folk.

 

I did get told today on the other forum ( I will not use the M word ) that all I do is start threads and bump my own ! Never met the guy even on the forum. I saw his profile and it seems I am mentioned in there as the thing he dislikes most about that other football scheme that wont be talked of.

 

Even UU & JP had the decently to get to insult me a little, before they put the boot in bigtime !.

 

So Jeff, you met me yesterday, have I got 2 heads and look like I hatched out of an egg as all M*** people do ? :-)
