What the hell is going on with Dave Barratt? Unused sub today and with The interview with Betts and Barney in the programme on there opinion to drop Him from the squad was real unjust and unfair. It gives the player no way in which He can share His story or give a valid response. It seems like the manangment had no thoughts of bringing him on, (cannot belive Im saying bring on becasue players of his ability should be starting and buliding the team around) Today was crying out at times for a player to put His foot on the ball and pass the ball, set the tempo slide Terry in and look to play football. I have always enjoyed watching Slough battle, but whats better is when the battlers battle and the footballers play football for 90 minutes. I agree with discipline Him on His reaction to being subbed against farnborugh but not dropping Him, and certantly not putting it so blunt in the match programme. I really Hope Dave does stay and carry on playing because he is vital to our survival, Im a real Happy Rebal for the three points today but unhappy at same time.

From what I've gathered Dave Barratt has had a slight re-occurrence of his injury which would be a good reason for him being on the bench and not coming on.

We won!! Therefore the manager made the right decision. There is a long-long way to go and Dave Barratt will be needed and is an important player in the crucial run-in for us. Don't worry about that...

Just a reply to Gary, I am a Slough supporter and have been since our relagation from the Ryman Premier Last season. I write on the forum on behalf of Myself and two friends who come to the games aswell, whats written on the website is My views and theres. I understand where Gary is coming from in saying that "someone close to Dave" but in ways We are close because before games and after We have a chat about how things are going and like other supporters build a relationship with players.

My information comes from someone who spoke to Barratt as he was coming into the club and that is what he said to him.

it doesn't matter if they are close to Dave or not the fact that it has gone into print is a disgrace the problem was dealt with inhouse and should have remained that way,will Barnard be mentioned in the next programme he went away xmas/new year and today!!!!!!!!!

In response to Anon's comment that it was a disgrace it went to print, I'm sure all fans appreciate Betts & Barnards honesty in this interview and would the fans have appreciate if I edited or left certain parts out? I don't see anything wrong in what they said and as they mentioned it's been dealt with now so let's move on and not keep dwelling on the past, we had a great victory yesterday let's talk about that please!

It was a good, honest interview and it was right to print unedited Another great programme, along with a fantastic win, news of a new chairman whose putting money into the club, and news of the ground. Glen is right (for once!) - lets celebrate one of the best couple of weeks for Slough for quite a while.

I agree Dave Barrett is a good player however at the moment we need points and sometimes the football is not pretty and we need to work really hard and the games that ive seen of late dave does not he is a luxury player great on the ball and can create something but of late we have been in the trenches as Betsy puts it and we have needed 11 players not 10, and as for his attitude to be ing taken off having read the interview what a disgrace! i agree with B&B also watched the warm up saturday and he never came out until about 10 mins from the end, maybe he was injured but certainly didnt look interested! his ability is not the issue i think its his attitude, from when ive spoken to him after games hes a great lad but until we are safe we need every player willing to give there all out there.

I agree with the post that We won Saturday so therefore Bettsys desision was right, and Im a firm beliver of this system. But I must agree with other posts that I am a massive fan of Daves and do love watching Him play. I agree 100% Hes a luxury player, but what luxury player to have in any side at our level even better when Hes registered with Slough. My oponion on the interview is 50/50 I agree on some bits but not on others. Great read and very honest in depth interview but the player had had to miss a game due to Bettsys discipline reasons, and also gets a slight slating in programme, maybe a little too much. Heres to Goldamin on Saturday, where I hope the lads get those vital three points.
