and mr hyde took over at half time...

 

we had this game won in the first half with some excellent midfield play and the staines strikers firmly in godders and purds back pockets...wonderful goal from krissy lee and a staines player sent off rightfully for lashing out at elliot in frustration...all good solid urchin dominance...well on top of the match...

 

so...much anticipation and blood lust therefore at half time amongst the urchin faithful for the feast to come.....except hyde came out instead and tried very hard to turn three points in to none...a soft equaliser and again a runner from midfield allowed to travel 30 yards before shooting from the edge of the box...

 

very poor second half performance and if wasn't for purds and godders it would have been none...all the other results went our way as well which doubles the frustration..

 

excellent facilities at staines and many thanks to the good people over there for their hospitality...and as always well done to the travelling urchin faithful who cheered their team throughout......and then scratched their heads with shoulders slumped as they filed into the bar...felt like we'd lost...

A huge disappointment. We had a good side firmly in our pocket, but for some inexplicable reason we allowed them back in the game through sloppy play in midfield and forward areas. Their goal was a nonsense and for a team with superior numbers we still gave them too much respect and sat back.

 

It feels like a defeat as upon such games do seasons turn. We must start putting these sides away or face another tough season in the Rym prem without the excitement of the play offs.

We also had a couple of nailed on chances to win at the end. How on earth we didn't pick up all three points is beyond me.

 

Despite appearing determined to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory I still remain hopeful we'll make the play offs and then we can beat anyone on our day.
