There are teams that are out to a "job" and Boreham Wood did just that. If there is a phrase you can use, then we have been Borged is the phrase...Those of you that know Borg and how Borg teams play, then you know what I mean...That and the poor officials is about as objective as I can be at the moment...

Them's the breaks, lets get on with the rest of the season with the thought that we won't be meeting them again, this season...

...but I'm sure we'll see that ref again.

How is Billy? Anyone know?

Strange game. Although we lost 2-0 I quite enjoyed the way we played for most of the time. Billy had to go off with a cut eye fairly early in the game, so our attacking options were limited, but I thought we played some great football and made some great chances that didn't come to much.

Boring Wood lived up to their name; not pretty, but effective. Niggly, time-wasting, & cynical. Not sure about their penalty. I thought it was a dive but there didn't seem to be a lot of complaints, apart from Heffs who conceded it. Their second was a defensive mix up on our part, Kerrers not clearing properly with his head.

Could have done with Shave to-day, but then again he may not have stayed on the pitch for too long with the physical side of 'woods game. But, then again, the ref was a pussy, letting 'wood get away with murder, so praps he'd have been OK.

Joe Keith came on for about 5 minutes at the end. Made some nice runs & touches.

Well all the talk will be of the refereeing decisions, and rightly so. Definite dive for their pen and definite elbow by Adedeji on Billy to take him out of the game. Should have been a red card and a pen to us.

When the game was allowed to flow I thought we played some nice passing football, Black and Hunter arguably our best players, but with BWG suspended and Billy taken out of the game by the elbow we lacked pace and mobility in the box. Their keeper made 2 excellent 1st half saves from Leon. 2nd half we struggled to break them down I thought, although Wayne should have had a penalty when he was blocked by the keeper after dinking the ball past him.

Poor result today. Unfortunately this week's early pen wasn't saved. We dominated for the rest of the half and their keeper made some decent stops. Probably should have had two pens in the first half, one for the clear elbow on Billy and another for handball later on.

Ref was awful as was the lineo who seem intimidated by Borg in the second half. Their second goal finished it and we struggled afterwards with their niggly tactics and blatant time wasting. Really missed BWG down the right and Billy once he went off. I felt for Burbs as he was man handled all second half by the #5 with the ref oblivious. I agree with the above, shame there was no Shave today.

Three points next Saturday is a must.

It's difficult to argue with much of that. The referee has had a major influence on the result today with two early poor decisions, the penalty against us and allowing Adedeji to get away scot-free after seemingly elbowing Billy.

I thought in the first half we played very well, created quite a few chances and a combination of good goalkeeping and poor finishing meant that we didn't go in at least equal.

In the second half we seemed to struggle in the final third and again despite some positive approach play lacked any cutting edge where it mattered. Mind you perhaps that's not a major surprise when you are without your three main forwards.

Borging-Wood had two shots and scored two goals. I know some will say we were unlucky but I do think we need to improve on our finishing generally as we seem to miss a lot of chances.

The good news is that this result hasn't really hurt us although it has brought a few more teams back into the picture. Saturday is a really important game for us, a win is vital, the good news being that we'll have more players available for selection.

Come on you blues!!!!

As a Bromley fan, I can say there are a few of us who would love to see you guys go marching through to the Blue Square South next season. You were tough opponents last season I remember, and I thought your fans were a credit. It's still on the cards, so keep the momentum going.......And if you could just beat AFC Wimbledon in the playoff final I'm sure we'd all love that.

Good luck.

After a good nights sleep and time to reflect I'm still scratching my head.

The first 45 was as good as I have seen us play, I don't think even George would argue when I say that footballing wise, we absolutely battered them.

Second half wasn't as one sided, but I wouldn't have expected anything else, George is an experienced and wiley Manager who changed things and made it harder for us, but we were still dominating. On the balance of play it should have been 0-2 and not 2-0. But thats football, and the uncertainty is what keeps us coming back for more.

Anyway I need to stop scratching otherwise I will destroy the last few hairs I have left.

As mentioned previous, I was looking forward to Chinese and cheesy music and I wasn't disappointed, great hospitality as always.

Blimey Gazza, is that bee STILL in your bonnet. Thought you would have got rid of it by now!

Oh dear, as the title comes ever nearer, our regular contributor who "supports" the club displays a ever thinning skin...Did I mention a club? If the cap fits, BC, I suggest that you, your friends and your club, wear it.

BC, the fact of the matter is, that Bromley WERE magnaminous in victory. I don't know many supporters that would walk from one end to the other to comiserate and swap best wishes...

Now, if you don't mind, either start another thread or just leave it alone...

Your powers of deduction couldn't be furter from the truth BC...

Apologies then. I was just working on the basis that once you've eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.
