Thankyou Deano.

Just a genuine big thank you to all the fans that have been behind me since i came to join the club. The majority of you have been superb towards me through good and bad. It was great to play for you and im sure we will cross paths again.

Alot has been said of late regarding what happened, unfortunately i have been unable to explain to ANYBODY including my former employers what ACTUALLY happened. People can talk and that is their right but some certain individuals have abused their position and quoted scenes that NEVER took place. Still i will keep quiet and the truth will eventually come out.

I wish my mates the best of luck in trying to get back in with a shout for promotion and i know the majority of you will turn out and support them.

Deano.

Thanks for that Deano, good of you to come on our forum like that and say such things, shows what a genuine, nice chap you are.

Good luck wherever your future may be and I truly hope our paths will cross again one day so I can buy you a pint. You will be sorely missed by many.

It is difficult to believe how a board of directors are able to act in such a 'red mist' way. Have they lost any semblance of common sense? There has been no proper investigation. Without hearing evidence from either of the two protaganists involved they rush to a judgement. Then it is splashed in the local newspaper. They have sat on their hands whilst their longest serving player has been persistently abused(not just criticised but personally abused)and they want it to be a family club.

In this affair the directors have managed to sack a player without a proper and fair investigation, attract some dreadful publicity(supporters getting their own player sacked) and alienate a good many fans and allowed personal abuse to be continually directed at the club's players whilst pretending its a family club.

Well put Zhukov. The whole situation has been disgracefully handled by the club. They did not need to sack Dean. Cantona wasn't even sacked by Man Utd for attacking a fan. And we are not in the national newspapers. At times like this the club would have been better off closing ranks, refusing to comment to the paper, or at most say "We are investigating", and then deal with the situation in-house. Nobody got hurt. What they do need to do is deal with individuals who abuse our players as you say. Get to the root of the problem. The safety officer may like to bear in mind that by asking the choir to tone things down he's not solving the problem. The choir haven't been barracking our players. It's going to take more effort than that.

Good luck Deano. I wish you the very best in your career and hope you get to play at a higher level befitting your ability.

Thank you Deano for your time served at the club and i feel bad as i was one of the ones who criticised you in your first season, so for that i apologise. But the last 2 seasons i have supported you and i was proud to see in a Margate shirt. I felt the boards decision was a wrong decision, but sadly for the club and more importantly for dean it is the decision that has been made.

Good luck for the future and it will be nice to see back at HDP and like Mike catch me on a good day i too may buy you pint.

Good luck again Dean

I am disgusted that the Club did not allow Deano to put his side of the argument forward. This now goes back to a comment I made earlier that the Club has actually shot itself in the foot by sacking Deano - my god, if the Police handled investigations like this then we would ALL be in prison!!!!!

GOOD LUCK TO YOU DEANO, YOU DESERVE TO BE TREATED BETTER THAN THIS MICKEY MOUSE 'BOARD OF DIRECTORS' TREATED YOU!!!

Spot on Paul. Anyone remember the Conference South season, away at Welling on New Years Day? After receiving much abuse following a dire performance, Chris Kinnear (yes, the manager) approached our fans behind the goal and said something along the lines of 'Who keeps shouting their mouth off? If you don't like it, don't bother coming'.

Surely this is on a par with, if not worse than, what Deano supposedly did. Yet there was no action on that day.

The board have made a terrible decision. We will miss him in the run-in.
