Yes thankyou Deano for the passion and commitment you have shown the club in the last 3 years. This besides all the barracking you have recieved from the terraces over the time you were here and also the unjustified criticism that you have received on this forum.

 

You will always be a GATE player to me and I am proud that you represented the club I support. You always showed politness and courtesy to me and my wife and I thankyou for that.

He has had his chances and not learnt from them, its about the team not individuals, and he has let us down more than once. I dont condone the abuse of anyone but he should have handled it better.

Am sorry for the decision MFC have made, and now am more concerned for

1. Players attitudes/thoughts to this matter

 

2. Fans (real FANS that is) as I believe Deano was a great

favourite to many and some may take umbrance to his sacking.

 

3. Most importantly can we afford to lose such an influential

player this late on in the season if we realistically want to push for the Playoffs

Great post there Mike. And I wholeheartedly agree. I think Dean loved it here and it's a great shame the directors have taken this decision. Never played with less than 100%. The wrong decision has been made IMO. And I hope the rest of the players don't take this to heart, because who could blame them if they did. I also hope Keith Piper retracts the comment that Dean "jumped the barrier" in Tuesday's Thanet Times if as eyewitnesses suggest, this was not the case. Why Piper made that comment is anyone's guess. Was there really any need to exaggerate the incident if as he says he did not see it?
