Just wanted to know what u lads and lasses think the team will be that Trotty will pick for saturdays massive game at Hendon.

Mine would be:

SCS

Goodfellow Trott Joseph

Peters Saunders McKimm Standen Jackson

Pinnock Haworth

I think as in any game, we MUST dominate the middle of the park.

Quite straightforward IMO. Will be a positive I think to have RT back in the dugout for this crucial away game, so he can identify any problems during the game.

I prefer the idea of Standen and Macca in the middle than Saunders and Macca. Perhaps that's because Jay has played so regularly at the back it might take him a little time to adjust back to playing in midfield, which is fair enough. Although I'm just speculating.

Also, I think the team showed on Saturday that they are functioning well enough as they are now, with that shape.

SCS

Peters Goodfellow Saunders Joseph

Martin Standen McKimm Jackson

Pinnock Haworth

Also a note to say Aaron Quain could have a big role to play coming off the bench in the second half.

Jim, any particular reason why you've put Matt in goal? I know your opinions on SCS!! And yes, he does need to fight for his place harder than he does.

Agree buzzgate - when SCS plays well, he plays out of his skin. When we had Charlie Mitten last season, they were two excellent keepers fighting for that No.1 spot where as this season we have SCS and Matt Bowles, a good but young and relatively inexperienced keeper.

I like the way Matty starts the counter attack by using his throw rather than kick. So counter attack will be very quick against a rather stagnate Hendon defence.

Also I wanted to stimulate a footballing debate.

Now Dean has been sacked - ridiculous... I'd really like to see Jay back in midfield with Macca.

Tempted with a change of system but with all to play for at the moment it would be suicidal to our play-off hopes to meddle with the shape at this time.
