Trust

As I attended the Trust board meeting in my capacity as secretary as far as I am concerned it was stated the club had made NO appraoch for any financial help. It was proposed by certain board memebers to make a donation to the football club with a further propsal to be presented to the members at the forthcoming SGM.

I've been watching this thread and didnt want to comment or get involved but as old big mouth has said it i will completely agree with Sue, there has been no 'official' approach from the club regarding money. And as far as the 5,000 amount goes, the rules that the trust abides by are that an amount of that magnitude would have to be agreed by the MEMBERS not the BOARD

before it could be offered, at the meeting a number of figures were bandied about and no definite amount was agreed by the members, may i suggest that members attend the meeting to find out more about how the ground is going officially and everyone has the opportunity to make their opinions felt in a proactive and informed way. I hope that as many people as possible turn up as i personally feel that things are going 'inthe right way' and am a lot more optimistic than i wa previously.

Basically I couldn't attend the board meeting due to a prior engagement and voted by proxy. It seems that I've misunderstood what I'd been told when making my proxy vote. I've added 2 and 2 and made 5. That has lead to this thread and for that I can only apologise.

I agree with Sue that really the best thing to do is for all memebers to attend the EGM where these matters can be aired.

Martin, I'd seriously like to know the purpose of the meeting before deciding if I'm going to attend.

If the meeting is just about information from the council, as stated in the letter,I probably won't attend.

If however other issues are to be discussed or decided, then I might well attend.

If there is to be a decision on giving money, I certainly would try to attend.

Sue when I was handed the trust letter, I ask why was not all Slough Supporters were invited to the meeting as it was to tell everyone about the Council decision and how far we had got. I was told it was trust members only, as we need some money.

Some members may not bother to come to the meeting as it only a progress meeting, and not about money.
