Who's going to the Burton match?

Don't think you'll find anywhere where it shows "thousands" are going to attend. From the people on the forum thread who said they were going, the number (around 300) seems exactly correct. Little better than the 30 or so for the league match earlier this season me thinks.

Guess some people are just never happy, and want to find fault with anything they can. Happy f*ckers!!

Because he's happy just giving his money to Ebbsfleet and MYFC. For some reason he feels that by helping get Ebbsfleet out of debt he can then slag off the supporters.

I am more interested in reading the views of regulars who were there than people who just post for attention. Thousands were never mentioned. If the forum had an ignore button, you would be the first click. I would rather listen to people like DA11, River & Jeff. The Fleet fans however many there were outsung Burton.

BTW, their are only 5 teams left in the trophy, and we are one of them. All quality teams, and I am delighted we are one of them.

Torquay Utd, Aldershot, York City , Burton Albion and the Fleet.

We had a decent game. Burton were quick out of the blocks and threatened early doors (Jeez, how many Cliches can you get in 11 words?). But we weathered the storm (there's another one) and had them on the back foot towards the end of the first half. Unlucky not to score through Chris McPhee when he hit the crossbar.

Second half was a totally different story, we had most of the play and were unlucky not to score a couple. I'm still in shock that Luke Moore didn't bury that at the end. And to the person who thought Akinde was lazy, I didn't think he had the best of games, but he certainly won a lot more flick-ons than Nade and Chukki. Though, speaking of Nade, I felt that that was one of his best performances in a Fleet shirt, he looked like he wanted to play football and did well to hold the ball up a couple of times.

Just heard that Nigel Clough claimed we played for the draw, so that is why they had to clear about 3 of ours shots of the line!

Just one last thing, there was someone behind me who, in the first half, slagged off Lance at every oppourtunity he got. Is that the way we should be supporting the players? If it wasn't for Lance, we could have been 2-0 down at half-time, and look at the thanks he gets from a fan!

I am very happy with the crowd, would have been worse if we had lost obviously, but the chances we had and every one cheering, singing etc together I really felt great, so thanks to MyFC for that.

But can you please [****!!****] shut up with the "we've x'd you attendances by ten, it is so [****!!****] patronising.

And yes I was one of the 18 that made the trip to Burton on a Tuesday night in September.

No, I won't; because all I will give you are the facts of the matter. In this case, it is apparent to all but those who can't bring themselves to see the truth for whatever bigoted and clouding reason, that the EUFC support was hugely improved at this game because of the MYFC people who attended.

If you've seen me or anyone suggest 10 fold increases in other games then you are not being truthful to the facts. The answer is, no one has; it's just a chance to get a negative comment posted here on the Ebbsfleet forum.

Funny, I actually thought 18 to 300 is more like a 17 fold increase!!!

That's a bit misleading. We would have had a full coach and a fleet of cars from North Kent. MYFC wolud have added some to the away gate - but not 17 fold.

Tuesday evening league game against a Saturday afternoon cup quarter final.

Hmm, let me guess which might be better attended?

If you want to deal wilth facts, stick to all the facts, not just those that serve your purpose.

You have no idea how patronising you are.

First off you fail to retract your insulting post with regards trying to attract special praise for yourself just because you are one of the people with no interest in the club until MyFC sold the idea to you. Then you further insult me and my follow Ebbsfleet fans.

To the more insightful MyFC people, please shut this guy up. A lot of you have gone a long way to try to build bridges with us long term fans, this guy is burning them down.

Then, not only that, but you presume to tell me what I'm saying and what my stance is with regards to MyFC.

You clearly have never read any of my posts or do you know anything about me, yet you wish to assume where I stand on the MyFC deal.

I can tell you now that I am about 70% - 30% in favour of MyFC, although I have not always been that way. Yet you read one of my posts, which disagrees with something you, a MyFC overlord, have said and therefore I'm anti-MyFC? Where's the logic in that?

My biggest bug-bear with MyFC is not your lack of community or your "I'll pick the team even though I have never seen them play" but it's your downright patronisation of the traditional Non-league supporter, not just Ebbsfleet fans but non-league fans in general.

We're like a fallen giant at the moment, like a York, Oxford or Exeter telling other teams that we'll be their biggest gate of the season or the likes of the media telling us that this is our big day out and without this our season wouldn't be worth watching.

Today was one of the best match experiences I've had in ages, yet you lot have ruined it all by saying "it would have been nothing without us".

All my facts are pretty secure. Its the ignoring of them to support an unsubstantiated and asanine point that is most evident. The "17 fold" comment was a deliberate and facetious comment to answer like with like. Guess it was a tad "patronising."

Lets take a look at these statements point by point and just see who is doing the misleading here.

How you can assume "an insult" was intended just because I suggested there had been a big increase in EUFC support at the game is a tad ludicrous. Is there no doubt that many of the EUFC supporters were MYFC people .... errr .no... not one bit. but you couldn't just leave it at "it's great to have you along.. oh no, YOU were the one who had to have the "patronising" dig at people who you say claim have increased the attendance ten-fold. I think you will find that type of claim only came from you, negatively.

Before you accuse people of being bridge burners just because they disagree with an asanine point of yours, please take the time to actually read some information regarding what that person has to say. I have taken the time to read your thread, post by post, and those of other long time Ebbsfleet fans, because I believe it is vital they are represented on the board. Of course, if you'd read the thread, you might already know this.

You talk about me as a "MYFC overlord" and an "I'll pick the teamer even though I've never seen the team play,"; well, your ignorance is obviously blissful here once again. Read my thread, see exactly how I stand on the 'pick the team' debate, before you make, once more, incorrect and unsubstantiated comments about somebody else.

As for the patronising of "non-league" fans if you can show me where I have ever made such comments, then please show me, let me know and I will apoligise wholeheartedly. I think you will be looking for a long, long time. I've spent too many a long afternoon on the terraces of Belper town to worry about being patronising toward 'non-league' fans ... Matlcok fans excepted; I would always be patronising toward them, but that's a local thing.

The last comment, "it would have been nothing without us" is yet another example of trying to insiuate an insult where none was intended or shown. No one has said that, no one has insinuated it. I merely pointed out a fact, that you concurred with in your early post, and then felt the need to add a nasty swipe at those equally happy for the teams result today and it's support.

Please be better informed about someone before you start making statements about them that are ignorant of the facts. You group people without thought to the substabce of what they say, and accuse others of being un-informed when you haven't done a bit of the same research you say they should have done.

I have a feeling you would have found a way to ruin your day without "our lot' being blamed for it!

Hm..at the end of the day it was around 300 people at Burton who supported The Fleet in a good way.

That is a fact, and shouldn´t we just leave it with that?

The support for the team was good.

I think EUFC got a good result in the end as well.

It was a joint effort in the stands I presume.

The longterm Fleet fans and the new MyFC supporters.

Kudos to all.

Well said.

At the end of the day , when the cows come home etc............. the fact is , that 300 supporters of EUFC attended at NCBA yesterday.

Now lets start getting some more people to the fround on Tuesday and start lifiting the guys home, away and everywhere they see the name MYF EUFC Loyal Support and so on.

All this constant squabbling is just reidculous. Lets debate how well the guys soaked up the pressure early on , Mcphees swirling cross , luke moores late chance and so on.

Yesterday was a cracking 0-0 game and I am sure that both teams would have taken that in the 80th as no team was dominating and both teams creating chances.

There is a real believe around the camp and the support.

I encourage everyone , even the local casual support to get their [****!!****] in gear and get down to the ground.

If you admit this, why post it in the first place?

Half wittted retard.

To hear that there was such a great away turn out is brilliant in itself.

The only down side is I will be surprised if the same amount of new supporters will turn out on Tuesday evening, Yep it a week day,yep it maybe cold, yep there maybe football on the tele, but will that stop the Burton fans turning up, Probably not I would suggest.

Would I be right in assuming that cup match attendance money is split between the teams?

I am pretty sure that there will be less MyFC members in the crowd Tuesday, but I sure hope that The Fleets local fans turns up in good numbers.

I don´t know how many a London MyFC members there is,but getting the train from London bridge cannot be that much hustle.

There are supposedly more than 400 MyFC Kent members as well.

I do it twice a day and it is not much hustle at all.

Straight to the ground from the office on Tuesday for me.
The only downside of this is that I have to have a Fleet Burger.
