Match abandoned after 10 minutes due to waterlogged pitch as Canvey Island sinks under the weight of visiting Shots Fans!!!!!!! :-)

jellicoe is the closest but in the past the old bill have just strolled in and closed it a few hours before kick off.. the windjammer is a safer bet for a gauranteed pint, easier parking and easier to get away from after the game.. if u have a desginated driver u can drive from there along the seafront and park up about 400 yards from the away fans entrance (maps etc on the canvey website)..

ill be heading for there if i have time for a beer, if not ill have to smuggle some booze into the ground

I have spoken too a lot of people and,although it is a long trip during the week, many have taken time off work, so I hope it will be a bumper crowd.I expect a tight game,difficult too predict with our tight defence and your free scoring forwards.It is a game that could go either way,although maybe a bit more pressure on you as anything but a win will make it very difficult to over take us.I think the title will be won or lost in the next two games.I can't see canvey dropping any points in the run in apart from maybe us, where as ours looks a bit tougher.we hoped you might have dropped some against St A and Sutton,whereas I expect you thought the same for us against stoke and the K's.Certainly means an interesting but nerve racking week or so coming up!.Looking forward too my day by the seaside,first visit to canvey,pity one set of fans will be dissapointed not only tommorrow but at the end of the season.

With it being the school Easter holidays, there’s nothing much on the telly and it will be a warmish night, I can see over 3,000 tonight.

 

Score, Canvey to win 5-2 and Aldershot left thinking we have been outclassed tonight and why are we top! After taking such a pounding, the Aldershot defence will feel very vulnerable in their remaining games as the jitters set in.

Well - I think Canvey will be closed at Waterside Roundabout so no one will be able to get on or off the Island.

 

568 will turn up and Aldershot will lose 2 - 0

 

I guarantee that Fred will have his Bugle though and play it through the PA so that the Whole world can hear.
