because it takes to much time/resources to remove the people that have joined email address from the list of 53,000 and they would have to send out two email blast one to non members and the other to member which would be expensive and time consuming. but that's just my opinion i may be wrong

Unc, I think I can safely take you to task on this one without at least being accused of being a moonie... wink

But there's an awful lot of talk about this admin fee and to me, it doesn't seem like an awful lot of cash - 28,400 x £7.50 is £213k. If, say, six people are working more or less full-time on the project, that's an average salary of £35,000ish. Not bad, but hardly worthy of that much discussion, particularly given the web guys on it at least haven't been paid a salary until the takeover is ratified.

Plus, if we're talking about it in purely business terms, a salary of £35k if in return you have helped raise over a million quid is fair commission in my book...?

true but one man could handle the website on a full time basis (hardly microsoft is it) we also have to take the commission rake offs from the hastily arranged nike deals and other covert issues into consideration....

DD fees of 200k lead to many spin offs in my experience (and trust me I have been involved in a good few)...

its always about the money stu...sad but very very true..

OK Mr England, you are on a website now, how much does Ian_W charge you (or anyone else), to run, and allow you to post on this website.
Office Rent, isn't this website run out of his top floor flat?
Travel expenses, for what, moving from one comfortable chair to another?
Seeing all the big firm connections MYfc say they have, why aren't they taking sponsorship money to run their website?
