Difference is, Gaspode, you have seen Lance plenty of times, and other Fleet keepers, which permits you a balanced judgement. Mr England has seen Lance twice. He may have had 2 blinding games. As it happens, I think Lance IS a great keeper - not yet equal to Smelt, but not far short.

The worst case scenario is people like Mr England or worse still , geeks who have never seen Fleet play, nor have any intention to choosing the team from 6,000 miles away.

That is the real issue that genuine fans have.

And that problem will not go away.

If the team fail - who will get the sack?

Shirly it must be those buying and picking the team?

And while I also agree that Lance is a very good shot stopper, doesn't your heart go into your mouth every time he rushes blindly from his goal, or is faced with a bobbling back pass?

That will come from experience. His defensive work is getting better by the game, as is his distribution, thanks to Ron Hillyard. He could have a big future in football.

so we aggree then that lance is a good keeper with the potential to be a great keeper?? he had a great game yesterday as well and was unlucky to concede, but i was a stormer of a goal so i still think he is a great keeper(in my opinion)

As much as it grieves me to say it, he is not great, if he was great he would be at a higher standard of football, and not at Ebbsfleet. He may go on to be great and that would be wonderful,but at this moment in time, he is a very good non league goal keeper.

His kicking needs to improve in my opinion.

 

He was outstanding against Grays on Boxing Day though.

 

Even their keeper (Flitney?) was applauding his saves in the second half.

Because none of the other non league keepers are great either, so best of the bunch etc.

It helps being

a) English

Young.

c) Good in goal.

d) Playing full time

e) In the Conference.

 

If 4 or 5 apply, then you must be in the the running for an England C cap.

you really find it hard to agree with what i say don't you, even if I'm praising the team you still have to disagree with me, well I'm entitled to my views and as i say lance cronin is a great keeper and an asset to the club and I'm glad that he has extended his contract with the club

Without that you wouldn't care.

your right if MyFC had taken over a different club i would probably still not know anything about Ebbsfleet, but they have, granted i don't know as much about the club asm you but still the club has gained a new supporter who will follow the fleet long after MyFC has left. As for you not giving a toss for what i say looks like we feel the same about each other.

Always preferred Richard Dimmock myself. A safe pair of hands and the bonus was he could play up front if you found yourself a goal behind.
