I know not many people will believe this but there are actually 2 people in Kent(perhaps more)who support both Stoke City and Margate.I am the other one.I know some of your mates are likely to put a post on like 'Who are Stoke?'or 'What league are they in?'but I have put up with that all my life.If you support Stoke you have to have thick skin.But for once I think we can say we can be proud to support them.They are playing some good stuff at the moment.For all you guys who support French teams like Arsenal watch out because a good English team are going to be gunning for you next season.Nothing wrong with being optimistic.And if Margate are in the conference even better.

Well acdc this may come as a shock to you but I stand next to 3 Stoke supporters at each home game in front of the Ezeciel stand. That is Graeme + 2 others. Why do you not make yourself known to them at the next home game.

There are quite a few of us around Thanet. Colin Neville and i go to watch the gate. there used to be another guy from Deal. Deal Stokie was his handle, he could be found on the unofficial Stoke forum "Oatcake" but, i have not seen him at Hartsdown for a season or so. I believe they used to organise a minibus from that area to Stoke on a regular basis then.

Yes " Rhino" skin is what you grow supporting Stoke. It also comes in handy down here as well.

Times haven't always been bad. I remember the days of "Tony Waddington". 1st game my dad took me to see was the centenial game in 1963. Real Madrid. "Puskas", "Destefano" and the other greats against the mighty Stoke and The great "Stanley Mathews".

Come and introduce yourself at the next game. We usually stand behind the toilets next to a QPR supporter with equally thick skin.

Thanks for your reply.As you say there have been good times.I was at Stamford Bridge in the sixties when Chelsea were top of the old second div Stoke were 2nd last game of the season and we won 0-1 and won the title.Stan ran circles around Eddie McReady and he was nearly 50.Then of course we beat Chelsea in 72 in the league cup final,fat chance of that happening now with money and greed running football and the league full of mercenaries.Give me non league footy and value for money.Hope to catch up with you soon.
