During the league game the terrace was closed and we were just shunted into a corner.I take it as being the away terrace is open which is an area behind the goal and runs the width of the pitch

As far as I can recall you are the only visiting team (with the exception of Birmingham Senior Cup teams and psf's) not given the away terrace behind the goal, and that was due to numbers travelling on a Tuesday night. Canvey were once assigned to seats only, but in the end they were allowed onto the terrace. Now that you are the biggest club in this division or something, you will get the treatment we reserve for every other visiting team and you will like it, all right?

Colin is your bar available to away supporters?

There is a bar under the stand at the away end, not really for connoisseurs of fine ale though. As for the replacement for the much lamented Football Tavern, it's with the planners. You can see some of the foundations that were laid before the change in plan if you walk through the car park. Plenty of decent pubs between the town centre and the ground, it's a bit of a trek from the station, but ideal for a pub crawl. I shall be entertaining Jeff and maybe Harold John Allstars somewhere prematch, venue still to be confirmed.

 

ps forgot to mention, there should be an allocation of seats for your supporters if they like to take the weight off their feet during the game. I've sat there once for a friendly, nice view.
