Lord Chas can give you the lowdown on the song being as he was either co-writer/producer/publisher/bloke who played the glockenspiel/the Yoko Ono of the outfit that recorded it.

Maybe on the back of your podcast riding high in the iTunes charts, we could get Chas in the charts. Cheer Cheer Here Come The Fleet reworked by Amy Winehouse.

nagh, that would be Silly, Sir Cliff has more than 28,000 fans.

How about in Septemeber ? Seriously though, I read once about how many sales are needed to get in the chart. I will try and dig it up, but 10,000 gets you well in there.

Would be well worth doing to make Radio 1 play it in the chart show ! :-)

And now a new entry at number 6, LORD Chas with ,,,,,,

Martin Lewis the Money man on TV was involved getting a song in the chart protesting about Bank Charges. Number25 I believe. 15,000 to do anything.

Cant see that happening, but I know from my time at Leicester, I always wanted to hear the post horn gallop as the players came out.

It got remade and jazzed up a bit.

Funny you should mention that Yorkfox. The Fleet used to run out to The Post Horn Gallop, in the 50's and early 60's, before Roger "Bling" Easterby became Chairman!

They've just re-introduced Norwich coming out to 'The Canaries' a ditty released in 1972 when the Club won promotion to the old First Division for the first time. This appears to be welcomed by older and younger fans. certainly one for tradition and hope that Here Comes The Fleet soon storms up the itunes chart and is re-introduced. Can I hear it anywhere...youtube???
