End Of Season Party - May 3rd

Recommended Posts

Oi Zeal.

What do you mean "It's been confirmed...". When was that then? At the International match last night? No, that can't be right. you weren't there. Is this another of Littlejohn's ravings?

As I understand the position from discussions with no less than 5 members of t'Committee of the Supporters Club [Helski, Knocky, Brew, Ron Thoms and Barry Hiliard] last night, the matter is 'under review'.

One small point, CZ. Don't spread it around that you two won't be going unless there's a disco. I'm still optimistic that it will be Boy George and that sort of 'insenstive' [sic] doesn't help.

It has been confirmed, via PM to me this morning, by a trustworthy, and 'in-the-know' source, that there are no plans for a disco.

Oh, and Boy George is a crap DJ. I definitely won't be going in that case!! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Questions, questions, questions.

First question. Those are members of t'Committee, yes. There is also t'Chairman, Ian someone, Richard Lawton, Duncan Mcleod/MacCloud, and, possibly Ken Allen.

It's the AGM on May 8th. [No disco that night, for sure CZ]. Why don't you stand EFMTFTV?

Second question. 1-1. See brief summary on the football forum thing.

Oh for God's sake, a disco doesn't cost that much! It's not expensive at all, why has it not been agreed on? Once everyone pays a fiver to get in then surely you'll get the money back, plus loads spent in the bar too.

Mind you if it turns out like the xmas doo, well........

Yeah, well there should be no charge on the door.

Blimey how much money has the supporters club donated to the footie club this year? Shed-loads, that's for sure.

It'll cost about £100-150 to put on a disco upstairs. It's the least the club can do. They can take the cash out of the £8 a match they charge to come and watch them week-in, week-out.

Oi! Zeal!

You can forget your "trustworthy" and "in the know" sources, CZ.

Take it from me. There WILL be a disco in t'clubhouse in the evening of the Basingstoke match. After all the trouble that I have gone to on your behalf, all you and The Firm have to do is turn up.

[No. we don't need Karen's home number, 'just in case'.]

Not sure about the canapes, ESG, but I'm working on it. For the moment don't touch the buffet until t'Committee have finished.
