The only way I can see this working is through Liam Daish.

He picks a team explains his reasoning pro's and cons of that team and how it will play.

He then picks a second team for different reasons different pro's and cons.

So maybe team A might be defensive team B more attacking, something along those lines.

I dont see how it can work just putting a list of players and voting in the 10 most popular and a goalkeeper (maybe).

I'm also interested in timescales. If Ebbsfleet play on Saturday and then Tuesday night, I'm guessing Liam goes to work from the final whistle Saturday thinking about and working on his Tuesday team. If he now has to wait for a vote, which cannot happen before Saturday thats cutting into already limited time. Anyway we will see what happens but I dont think it will be practical.

MyFC is supposed to be a democracy that is run by its members, why don't you request a vote on whether the members should be able to feck up a winning team.
If enough of you are sensible you should be able to outvote the children who want to play championship manager with real people.

and herein lies the problem....idiots in charge of the asylum..

a football manager will mentally start to pick his team for the next game immediately after the last one...he will concentrate on the opposition and work out who best to pick to cancel out them and their style of play...he will look at and talk to players in training...he will know directly and through his coaches which players are having problems with wives/girlfriends/family/money and take that into consideration...he will know directly and through his staff which players are carrying knocks/injuries/colds/lack of match fitness...and take that into consideration..

he will sit all night from wednesday onwards pondering over his options and working out how best to win the game for himself.. his staff.. his club.. and his fans..

by saturday morning he will have his 16 but not his team...gut feel will now take over and the manager will use his experience according to the weather..the pitch..the look in his players eyes when they report to the club at 11am (or later as the case may be) thereby ruling themselves out and then make his decision an hour or less before the game...

if the manager is any good.. he cannot do anything but the above as THAT is the way that it works.......

liam having to pander to 28000 moonies is a non starter..he knows it...I know...every person who knows anything at all about football knows it....

except 28000 idiots... grin

Yes I've got to say my £35 was a bit of an impulse buy. Having seen the team I watched as a boy turned into a sterile premiership replica of itself, the idea of a load of people coming together to run their own club the right way (and thus saving football as I know it) was very appealing.

While its too early to say I wont renew next season, at the moment I'm thinking I could have just become a member of my local non league club for that watched them every week and still have been able to say my piece.

insulting who...?

find one post where I ever insult an individual....you won't but a gaggle of idiots were invented for lampoonery..

I was answering a statement made by cardomon and did not attack him at all..merely enlightened him on the way these things work having been there and done it....

if you refer to the term idiots running the asylum...well in that case I was referring to ALL MyFc members who want to pick the team... laugh

now try and do better in these debates....don't let the side down...

thanx...

you are entitled to say your piece cardomon and are free to so do but say it sensibly....as you see it and not by following moonie doctrine..

the idea of owning a tiny slice of a football club is appealing as indeed was the idea of owning the whole slice of one...(talk about sliding doors)... frown

the funding and promotional ideas per se behind MyFc are great but the way it has been sold to raise money for non ebbs related agendas and self gain is wrong....the inmates really can take over MyFc by refusing to listen to the rhetoric and bollox preached by moonie HQ and its roving disciples and forcing common sense in the voting...

the power lies with the real fans and genuine investors to turn the tables on the whole self serving junta......they wanted the power of the people...give it to them and insist on everything being transparent or vote with your pockest at renewal time...

and as one (or 9 as the case may be) of the idiots I am also taking umbrage with myself.... shocked

myself and the other 8 idiots however do not deem to interfere in the ru(i)nning of a successful football club from 6000 miles away....

now thats what I call idiocy...don't you agree...?

When I see an actual harm (not a paranoid fantasy) done to EUFC by MyFC, I will agree with you. Until then, no, I don't agree with you.

if you knew anything at all about english non league football or bothered to read the heartfelt fears of the true fleet fans over the past 6 months you would see the harm already done but of course sitting there in norf caralina behind the keyboard you won't see it will you.....

NL football is about people and paranoia reigns...you are never alone... grin

we must agree to disagree...

Because only the fans who agree with you are true fans? Somehow after reading several thousand posts here over the last several months, that's not the impression I got. It sounds more like a dozen or so agree with you. But I guess those who don't just aren't true enough fans.

now please try and keep the comments somewhere near the factual reality of what is being posted or you could be mistaken for a moonie and that wouldn't do now would it.... grin
