Er...no !

A question for you Unc, with no ulterior motive but, if you have signed up with MyFC, why ? Surely your loyalties lie with your beloved Hornchurch ( and why shouldn't they ? ). Why get interested in EUFC ? Just curious to know, that's all.

Cheers,

45 years in senior football hirsty as a player.. coach.. owner and fan....many clubs along the way from the top to the bottom and love all things good and indeed bad about this wonderful game...

I believe that the MyFc deal is a poor one for the fleet as you know it and the selfish interests of a few people are being best served whilst the genuine interests of the majority are being ignored...

its not about ebbs or MyFc... its about tradition....these people are not football fans et all nor ebbs fans ever...they are..for the majority.. nondescript bored lonely people sitting behind keyboards looking for their 15 minutes...they are being used to fund one mans ego...

they can move on and write off 35 quid...you guys are the real lifers...

as for joining MyFc...6 times and more to come....devilment and information... grin

If you have the real picture please tell me who MyFC Ltd are going to appoint as directors of EUFC Ltd, in whos name the MyFC Society shares are going to be held and whether you think, and how this majority shareholding will represent any real influence on the activities of the EUFC Ltd board.

As I do not work in the city, neither am I a accountant, my take is this. 27,000 gullible people, paid £35 for a certain person, maybe persons, to gain control of a Non league football clubs. The guys who paid the £35 have been brainwashed into thinking they own something, in reality they own nothing. If they feel they own something to do with Ebbsfleet, other than commercial merchandise, then I would love to see it.Now who holds the shares??? Myfc??? who is Myfc,??? Mr Books? who are/is the only permanent members of Myfc? or Myfc Ltd ? any of the 27,0000??
other than the ones who set all this up?? I very much doubt it, so who is in control? not the brainwashed masses.

I said the majority ....perhaps you should be a little more circumspect in your reading and understanding of a post before knee jerking an answer...I find it helps prevent one from making a fool of oneself... smile

as for devilment...well we all have reasons for doing what we do...takes all sorts....funny old world ain't it.. grin

As I've said elsewhere, I personally joined MyFC because the original concept appealed to my romantic side - a football club owned and run by real flesh and blood fans. I guess I'd paid my 35 quid before I really sat back and began to ponder what exactly was involved here.

But I'll tell you what I DIDN'T want, ok ? I didn't want a load of Internet outsiders to come jackbooting it in over a decent wee club and its supporters, pushing them aside and adopting exactly the same attitudes as some of the corporate big boys who've elbowed their way into the boardrooms of many League clubs. But if you read some of the posts on the MyFC forums you'll see that even already those same attitudes are indeed being adopted !

I'm from Derry in Northern Ireland (as my name implies) and I'd positively HATE it if my hometown club, Derry City who play in the Eircom League of Ireland, was over-run by thousands of Internet numpties who thought each and every one of them could be an online Manager and Director and knew all there is to know about successfully steering the club to glory, ignoring the wishes and feelings and inherent rights of generations of the 'natives' who'd supported the lads through thick and thin before any glamorous Internet scam or whatever it is came along.

Just to enlarge slightly on my personal interests (for those who might be curious or question my 'credentials'), as well as supporting my hometown Irish team (naturally), when I lived in Surrey I used to go along to Whyteleafe FC (Ryman League) and now that I'm in Lancashire I've attended Marine AFC (Unibond Premier) and Burscough (Blue Square North) among other clubs, including my League favourites Tranmere Rovers. As you'll have noted, I prefer the smaller more intimate clubs to the big brash boys in the Premiership and sucklike where you're only a number not a real person. In my far-off younger days I played footy for a few Irish amateur sides and for my university and once had a trial for Crystal Palace (I was found Guilty - the jury was nobbled).
