I was with our Secretary when he phoned the result, goalscorers and attendance to Jim Bean at about 9.40 last night

I see that Waltham Forest managed to beat Potters Bar Town 2-0 at home today without Lee Scott and Jonathan Donoghue

No I'm not saying that but Potters Bar Town must be a pretty poor side, hopefully Ged 'Sir Bobby Robson' Searson will now leave Lee Scott and Jonathan Donoghue alone, I gather he hounded Lee all this week to play today but he didn't want to know

Doug - you seem to be undermining the work done by Ged and Mario in the said season keeping Haringey in the premier league. They took over in March and in such a short time was able to find players - and keep boro' up. Not bad when you think about it considering the amount of points "we" were behind. i think you if you are a boro fan/director be grateful for the work they did and stop "bitching" about them and concentrate on the man you got in there now.

Rhodes - you gather Ged was hounding Lee Scott to play the other night? you gather wrong and as usual you are talking out of the hole in your shoe. Yes he may have enquired if he was available but wasnt and so Ged used two other strikers - who incidently both scored!

3praise - Actually that's exactly what I was thinking when 'Sugar' made his ungrateful post last week as he should be grateful to Ged for the excellent job he did for 'us' with limited resources at his disposal. 'Sugar' only bankrolled 'our' relegation fight the previous season because Mario demanded it and 'we' got out of jail because 'we' had the money available to pay 'the dogs of war' such as George Georgiou. The same time the following year when Ged was in charge 'Sugar' chose not to do likewise and we went down and now look extremely unlikely to bounce straight back.
As for the man 'we' have in now, namely Allan Fenn, he hasn't impressed me at all so far and I think 'we' should have persisted with Ged.

3praise - This was one of 'Sugar's' ludicrously sarcastic comments aimed at Ged, I will find the other one. I know you're one of Ged's backroom staff and don't get me wrong as I love the man to bits however felt he went about things the wrong way in trying to poach Lee Scott who's the jewell in Kentish Town's crown and the goose that laid the golden egg

Rhodes how sure are you that Doug is "sugar"? unless he has come out and said that that is him i would find it very hard to believe that "sugar" would say something like that - it doesnt sound like something he would say! i think he was alot more humble about why we went down then you give him credit for - he knew the task at hand was hard and was with the players all the way i do believe he is trying his utmost to get boro' back in the prem - Is the new man up to that only time will tell.

On the Lee scott front - are you not happy that someone (you admire alot) from a higher league has seen his potential and wants him to spread his wings in a harder league? or would you prefer him to be a Matthew Le Tisseur type player that never fulfilled his potential because he played for a smaller club/lower level?

3 praise , i am the Chairman of HBFC otherwise referred to as Sugar.

The reason for my comments were in response to yet another ludicrous comment by the Bitcher . If you read his comments first you will see why i responded in the way i did.

You know me very well and you know that not only did i get on well with Ged and admired his ability but also still get on well with him. A change was made by the club at a time when it was felt necesaary and as you also know i do not act alone in the decision making process.Only the Bitcher seems to think i do.

Doug - i am still not convienced that you are "sugar" himself, but thats not an issue i can live with that.

All i can say "doug" - is do not raise to the master fisherman that is Rhodes - he does chuck alot of bait out and sometimes gets a catch.

I know all the ins and outs of the Ged situation at boro' and i do know the pressure "sugar" was under from others which is why Ged left as this kind of pressure was not needed especially as Boro' were sitting in 2nd or 3rd place at the time of him leaving - I will keep saying he left and was not sacked as i know these events to be true. I wish all at boro' well and i do hope to be back over there in the not too distant future!

Thanks 3 praise.

I am the artist formerly know as Mugabesugarellisbates , just thought a change of name would be funny.

You are right and i should not have got involved with the Bitcher and don't intend to in the future as replying is like talking to a brick wall. Rather similar to giving instructions face to face!!!

3praise - I will be back on later to answer your posts in full, you do your best to get your point across and I feel that your intentions are, on the whole, honourable, but you seem very naive particularly where 'Sugar' is concerned and where you suggest that he 'was under pressure from others'. 'Sugar' is his own man and has never taken anyone's advice in his life, he's hugely arrogant with an ego as wide as the hallowed Coles Park turf, I think deep down you know this. To sack Ged when he did and when, as you say, 'we' were sitting pretty in third place at the time was a mistake, similar to when he got rid of Julian Hudson the season before, however Ged has had the last laugh having recently taken the reins at Wadham Lodge. By the way what did you think of the article in Non League last week!

i was on the phone to Ged to congratulate him on his success - and future successes!! "sugar" may be his own man when it comes to things outside of the boro' but i do believe he takes the opinion of those around him and makes a decision based on the "groups majority" rather then his own.

I have been over to Wadham lodge this season to wish him well and to watch some of the old boys from boro' turn out and he seems to have landed on his feet over there. I will pass on your well wishes to him Rhodes as im sure he will appreciate it - from what i know rhodes he holds you in high esteem!

Does anyone know what Julian Hudson is doing these days?

3praise - Thanks for that, you're not a bad sort at the end of the day are you. 'Sugar' will hate reading that, Ged knew full well that I had 'our' best interests at heart at Coles Park, as did Mario, I remember that Ged always used to swear by the memorabilia in the office as did everyone else who went in there, other than 'Sugar', George, John Bacon and Roy 'tea boy' Fowler of course.
