Verdict:7 home games,Enfield and Concord at home in the last 2,difficult away trips to Burnham,s.manor,e.manor and romford.They are not distracted by any cups,where they will finish?A lot will depend on those 2 home matches vs the title rivals.chances:35%

 

ENFIELD FC 45 POINTS (+37)

VERDICT: Again,as Barkingside they haven't got any cups left.A slightly better fixture list with tricky away matches to romford,southend manor and barkingside.Home advantadge in tough matches vs ETON MANOR,CONCORD,ROMFORD and BOWERS.

VERDICT:5 home matches and 9 away including trips to enfield,burnham,barkingside and southend manor,tricky home fixtures vs ROMFORD and ETON MANOR.Still involved in 3 cups with one final already and possibly 2.possibly 18 games in two months will stretch their strength in depth the same as suspensions.They are capable of winning every game but they must have steel nerves and ability to recover well after a tiring cup match.Great season and they are still my favourites,providing they strengthen the side even more and keep their nerves in control.Chances:30%

 

In this title race i didn't include one side that according to me has everything to be there and is Eton Manor.They are only 2 points behind Concord(on level if they would have beaten us)in a cup final and possibly 2.My tip is a cup win and 4th place but they are certainly a very strong side.With a couple of older heads and keeping the squad together they can go all the way next year.

Enfield will win the league. Concord will miss out because they have to many suspensions coming up and the squad isnt big enough to cope with these.

I agree. I think Enfield are too strong and consistent.

 

Barkingside have done very very well. I think they will run Enfield to the wire, but just fall short.

 

Concord probably do have the best squad in the league, but four losses is too much already.

The selfish part of me says I hope it's Enfield, purely on the fact that I'd prefer to travel to Concord midweek than Ware, also I like meeting the Concordians!!!!!

 

BTW Trenks, most of us Deffo Deffo want you you to win the Vase and genuinely wish you well!!! It's a bit like sibling rivalry, we all fall out from time to time but we close ranks when it comes to outsiders.

Coachy...Great Topic starter! I think that is both your most interesting and sensible post ever!

 

I would say that Enfield will win it just.....if they avoid defeat at home to Concord then that will really seal the title for me. Concord need to win that game being such a huge 'Six Pointer'. For Barkingside, a draw would be priceless.

 

Barkingside are still up there and looking stronger all of the time.

 

I think a big difference is that Barkingside have gone about their business quietly so when teams play them, despite them flying high it`s still the kind of 'just another league match' attitude.

 

Enfield are the Big Boys of the league (Biggest club) this year so people raise their game against them. It`s similar with Concord as they have the dollar and have seemed to pi** a few people off along the way somehow, well a couple of certain individuals have anyway! With Concord being ESL veterans, they have rivalries with many clubs which does`nt help.

 

Barkingside to run close to the title if they dont bottle it, Concord have the best squad but Enfield pick up the wins!

 

Whats great is that this year is one of the most exciting Title Challenges for years and its nice that One Club has`nt run away with the title!
