Gravesend and Northfleet FA Cup match was my favourite game.and Southend Manor was my most memorable day.

I remember that Caskey free kick very well, curved into the far top corner in front of 1600+ at the Bridge on a lovely sunny day. There have been many of them, Darlo was a great result, us pub side from Essex beating a league side, Tranmere was a great day, unfortunately the ref did not give the correct decisions but for atmosphere and occasion, that has to be the best, and to think that they were in the semi final draw that year.

Another great game was Burton and Keelo's last gasp winner that sent everyone into raptures. Chelmo was definitely up there with those and will stick in my memory for ever.

Arlsley away in the F.A. Trophy. 1-0 will Tony Maynard scoring the only goal. The players dived in amongst the supporters and every one went mad. Tony got booked for that goal celebration. I will have to look it up again on the web site.

 

Their manager walked the width of the pitch and resigned when he got to the other side.

 

Days like that to be never forgotten.
