Post above imples Jay is up front; which is odd to me.

 

He is either a midfielder or a defender.

 

Yes he can play up front, but no wonder we are not getting the absolute best out of him this season when there is little consistency as to where he is playing.

Surely, whatever the level of opposition, you practice in the postion you are most likely to play in,and alongside those you are likely to be playing with-Smith/Eastwood if defence and Dean and Morris if in midfield.

I know its only a friendly but at this time of season, is that really an experiment that is likely to manifest itself in a meaningful game.

 

If the above sounds like an ott criticism, its not meant to be but simply a personal observation and thought.
