Winchester On Saturday

No live updates as I will be in with the behind the goal lot to get the support going. Everyone at the club last night mentioned about how the support gives them a lift, so lets all give it a go on Saturday, right from when the players come out of the tunnel onto the pitch.

 

If we start picking up wins, we won't need to worry about other results.

Whats the covering around the ground like? Looks a bit sparse to me from the photos in the programme

To answer OMT's (Old Moaney Pants) question, the only cover at Winchester is the seated stand. The clubhouse is at one end of the pitch and there is some sort of track around the pitch also.

Who told you there's cover behind the goal? From all the pix I've seen of their ground I can't see any unless it's some tiny tinpot shed! Or they've only just put some up, anyway who cares I won't be there!

"The City ground boasts a seated covered stand and also a small covered terrace behind one goal. The more vociferous of the home support congregate here and have their own band playing throughout the match. I counted 5 drums and a couple of bugles. The dressing room/clubhouse block appears fairly new and their are a numbers of caravans in club colours situated around the ground serving as the club shop and board room among other things."

Basic cover behind the goals but it's even more open than Stag Meadow on the sides!

 

Plus the 'band' have clearly lost a few drummers and the Bugles as when we played them recently the was one guy banging a drum every now and then! Hepburn had more talent as a band!
