Torquay didnt look great tonight - lets hope they continue in that vein on Saturday.

The problem is, just the one word you used (All)

Cambridge taking a point away wasn´t a good result in my umble opinion.

Woking coming back was though.

EUFC wont catch Aldershot,Torquay,Stevenage...not this season.

Burton is probably solid enough to stay ahead as well.

The club is competing for fifth spot, and I hoped that Cambridge would lose yesterday.

Three points tomorrow a must for Ebbsfleet.

Stevenage is not a happy camp at the moment. Wouldn't bet against them nose-diving. And if we take points off any of these, the gap isn't so big as it first appears.

Of course taking those points will be a tough ask.

The ideal result tonight as well with Stevenage drawing 0-0 with FGR.

ok, so the games in hand need to be won, but if (and I appreciate thats a big if) they are, we would be only 3 points off Cambridge and 5 off both Stevenage & Burton. We would also be 6 points clear of the 9th placed team, which would make it potentially 3 from 6 for the play offs - Stevenage, Burton, Cambridge, FGR, Exeter and ourselves.

Great to be in front at half time especially after such a poor start. Awful goal to give away, but great strength again from Akinde for his goal. Why do we play Nade though - 2 or 3 awful efforts from him - wish it was Chukki there.

Lets hope we keep it going 2nd half.

By the way, Setanta have said 14 Scouts there tonight - many from Championship clubs - wonder who they're looking at? Akinde and Long in our team, Cook from Crawley?? Lets hopewe get our main players signed up like Lance , quickly, so we would at least get a fee for any departures in the summer.

One missed space bar and our goal margin is looking real good. smile

Not a spectacular performance, but until they gave us a heart attack with virtually the last kick off the game, it rarely looked in doubt once we were ahead.

Akinde deserved MOM - - still very raw, but does the simple things well - Sacha was full of praise for him at the end.

So on to the next "massive game" at Torquay on Saturday - another 3 pointswould be great, but I'd settle for 1.

Agree, not a great performance but an excellent 3 points, battling back from a goal down. We certainly looked the stronger team but with only a 1 goal lead we allways look vunerable. Whilst we defend well we seem to kick the ball away aimlessly under pressure and it comes straight back. John Akinde showed again skill, pace and strength in equal measure and took his goal well despite the efforts of the defenders to hold him back. Sasha again had a good game but his headed clearance over the bar at the end was a bit heart stopping. Surprise at the inclusion of Nade given his recent absence especially at the expense of Bostwick who I thought would be an almost automatic choice these days. Who'd be a manager eh ?

Did Evans not shake Liam's hand at the end ? Very strange (not) as there's an article on the Crawley site about how much respect he has for him.....

With 3 points last night I'd be happy with a point on Saturday.

I thought it was a good performance last night. Not an easy place to go & get a win.

The only bad bit was being subjected to looking at Redolent3 standing behind the two Fleet fans being interviewed before the game ( new away shirt then Red ?). That was offset by the female commentator being hit on the head by a shot from Bayes whilst interviewing Jamie Cook !!

It obviously looked better courtesy of Setanta then Hirsty! Crawley are a real 100mph team, with everything being played at full speed. This really seemed to affect Fleet.. but its a sign of a good team - not playing as well as the usual high standards, but still coming away from Crawley with the 3 points. And this against a team who have scored 12 goals in their last 2 home games, so well done to the back 4 for keeping them down to 1...

Great goal by Big John though, Stellas or no Stellas !

As only two other teams have walked away with wins from Crawley this season I'm am inclined to agree it was a good performance. We also had more than enough chances to bury the game fairly early.
