The job of planning is now in MyFC hands, the team just play the game

To quote Hirsty, "Ever so 'umble, squire". Always greatful for your generousity

Thankfully, the more sensible of MyFC members dont agree with you on this being a one year wonder

This is why i don't post here. I plan to go to a game someday and meet some real fans. Fans that know there are more employees for a football team than just players. People that don't make up numbers just to back up their bitter assertions, and will be grateful for all future renewals. I bought a jersey and coffee mug. I joined the fleet Trust, and I will renew with MYFC again. Now I am off to find a forum where people actually talk about football instead of flinging bitter insults. There will be no reply to Patman's future indications of his disabilities.

These are the same people who will be given the chance to select the team, without ever having seen them play.

There is absolutely no knowledge required to make a personal choice between the kit options put forward imo. Taste maybe, knowledge no. So not voting on the deal because not enough information was forthcoming but stating a preference for which kit he preferred is perfectly reasonable.

To then trot out the same tired old phrases and piss off a few more visitors to the site and potential fans seems counterproductive. Unless, of course, I have mislaid the magic knowledge that is the pre-requisite to making a choice between red, blue or green.

Serious answer - that's not a bad idea whatsoever... Not too sure how much the trade-in would be, but once we know how much the new shirts are, we can determine a fair price.

And with the old shirts, we can send them off to those charities or, if someone parts with a really old one, keep for posterity...

After the Takeover was approved by MYFC. I invested so that I could see what they were saying and have my say.

This forum is always my primary source of opinion.

I voted for the Nike deal as I could see no alternative based on everthing I had read. I also voted for a home kit. I didn't vote for an away kit, as I don't like any of them and have said so on MYFC.

I have suggest on MYFC that they should give you the option be able to abstain and at least show you have a view, rather than simply you haven't because you didn't vote.

If they were to do that, it would just prove the minority are making the decisions!

If my comments about less than half of the MyFC members voting do piss them off and it results in a much larger percentage bothering to click the required box, then some good will have come of them.
(If they also 'encourage' posters like Leroix to spout his uninformed drivel elsewhere - even better!)

No Pat it wasn't that,it was reference your quote in my original post 'these are the people picking the team etc without having seen them play'. You seem to back up David's post with this, both of which were aimed at what I thought was a reasonable post by Blassberg.

Leroix, I have no sympathy for, pissing off newcomers for no good reason(imo) is another matter.

I voted 'no' for three reasons -

* Lack of information.

* A seeming reluctance to consider alternative manufacturers.

* The 'rushed', perhaps biased, way in which the whole kit concept was put forward.

However, I did vote for a home kit, on the basis that if I have an opinion I might as well register it. Alas, with hindsight, I might have made the worst choice!! I went for the one that looks the most like the current one - Which, if selected, will be the biggest rip-off, mostly same colours/design, just different manufacturer's logo!!? D'oh.....

In agree with an earlier poster, I was also surprised by the small percentage of people that voted 'no'. There did seem to be a lot of 'anti' feeling on the MyFC forums. Maybe some people expressed their opinion(s) through abstention? I have always believed that abstaining is usually a waste of time. I reckon that it would be more beneficial if members were given more time to consider medium &/or long-term decisions - well, at least non-immediate ones... Can't help feeling that other manufacturers would have come forward with offers before next season. Just hope that everybody will be able to make more considered decisions about similar issues in future.

Also, think that the part-exchange idea (re: kit) is superb...

I still stand by my quote.
Some people using the "I didn't have enough information" excuse to vote on the Nike deal WILL have as little or less information when it comes to picking the team.
The comment was not directed at any single individual, more directed at the concept of 28,000 people having to decide who gets to play based on ..... no-one yet knows for sure!

The only definite so far (that has been mentioned here) is that there is NOT going to be a "Let Liam Decide" option

Why even bother with all that hassle - just ensure the kits are sold are a very reasonable price. This will ensure a high volume of sales, without the need for fans to give up something - many keep them, its like 'history' in your wardrobe!
