town hall tonight 6-30pm

just to remind everyone the full cabinet meeting will be held tonight at the town hall..not sure when we are on the agenda..last week we were brought to the first item..so if people are attending it may be at the start time of 6-30pm..if those who don't want to be in the public gallery - then meet outside ..this may be the start of something we have all dreamed about..

Some further notes:

 

Another party was interested but was rejected prior to the meeting starting this evening.

 

Jayne Bradbury very pleased with the outcome and now has a three month lock out on the site. A very, very big step forwards, but there's still a long way to go yet.

Sorry, I'm a bit thick, so what does this mean? We have 3 months to purchase the site at a set-price and we are the only ones allowed to purchase it in these 3 months? Then if we get it we apply for planning permission etc??? Or am I very ahead of myself?

During the next three months, nobody else will be able to bid for the site and it will allow Jayne and her team to get everything in order to put their plans in on site and move towards getting contracts signed is my understanding of it.

Was at meeting tonight started of well then the past was dragged up political parties having digs at each other but then order was restored and progress was made with the go ahead voted on.

Never meet Jane before she is a very determined lady and after the meeting she was in bullish mood saying she has got the best people in place to overcome the hurdles ahead.

With the money she has already spent and with all the investment to come she has no intension of failing and has every intension of building a 1st class stadium for Slough with all the add on's to complement the project.

A BIG BIG Thank you to jayne Roy & steve, for their efforts which over the last few months have been difficult and trying, but your hard work has given the club a life line...thank you

 

 

Also a BIG thank you to those who attended tonight, speaking to Jayne after the meeting she was happy at the result and is what she wanted, and we move on , to the next hurdle which she has said she will do all possible to get everything in place , in the next 3 months (provisional contracts/offers and some outline planing.

 

It really is a great step., - and this a call to all parties now to ralley behind this project and not to use us , but for this project to solve some outstanding problems within our town !

 

this is a win win situation for all.

 

I am not silly to think its going to be plain sailing but the opportunity is there and we as supporters have our place and time to put our extra efforts to ensure this succeeds too...
